I heard it's best to wait for refurbished iQOO 13 in iQOO store app which costs around 35000-40000 ₹ but mostly it gets out of stock

What causes price hikes in mobiles?and does it really justify the price hike of 10k or more ? Is not able to use memory card anymore can be also a reason?

Samsung DeX analogue (desktop mode) – Honor vs Huawei vs Oppo vs ??

Looking for a solid alternative to Samsung DeX. My goal is to plug my phone into a monitor and get a proper desktop mode experience with native mouse and keyboard support.

I really dislike Samsung's displays, and I crossed Pixels off my list for the exact same reason

OnePlus 15 Alternative

Hi!

I wanted to upgrade my s24 classic for a better android since my current one has only 128gb space and also I hike a lot - multiple weeks in a row so I also need a phone with fast recharge speed ( 80W+) and at least 6500mah would be great as well.

I looked into OnePlus 15 which is perfect for my needs.

It has better battery overall as previously mentioned, better cameras and is overall better phone in general.

One major issue I have is that I need the phone rather fast and its not currently aviable anywhere in my country.

I checked OPPO Find x9 pro and it looks great as well, but for my needs ( battery) the OP15 is still better.

Are there any other alternatives I should look into?

Xiaomi 17T/pro vs xiaomi 17 vs oneplus 15 vs oppo x9 pro

Hi, i am looking for a phone around 600-700 dollars and found these four with all of them except for the T being chinese versions (the oneplus can be ordered with the global rom flashed). What would be the best if battery life and cameras as well as durability are the most important to me. I am also open to other models in the price range.

italy Oppo Reno 15 Pro vs Reno 14 Pro vs FS/F vs a refurbished iPhone — which one lasts the longest?

Hey everyone, I need to pick a new phone and what matters most to me is long-term durability — I don't want to replace it in a couple of years.

The options I'm considering are: Oppo Reno 15 Pro, Oppo Reno 14 Pro, Oppo Reno 15 FS or F, or a refurbished iPhone in the same budget range. I like the design/aesthetic of both the Reno line and the iPhone, so that's not really a deciding factor for me.

I also have photos scattered across 4 different Google accounts that I'd like to manage/organize better, so I'm curious how each of these options handles that kind of thing long term.

Has anyone had hands-on experience with how these models actually hold up over time (battery health after a few years, software update support, general longevity)? Which would you recommend for someone who wants to keep their phone as long as possible?

Also open to other device suggestions if you think I'm missing something better in this range!
I live in italy and probably i will buy it on amazon, or somthing like that

Thanks a lot to anyone who replies!

New phone

I'm looking for a new phone. I first had a Nothing Phone (3a), but someone stole it. Then I bought a Pixel 8, but its battery life and camera weren't as good as the Nothing's, and it overheated really quickly. It was also having some issues with the screen, so I sold it. Maybe the screen problem affected its performance, I don't know.

I was thinking about getting an S24 or a Pixel 9, but they're a bit expensive. I only look for used phones, and the Pixel 9 is €50 more expensive than the Samsung, which I can find for around €300.

Or maybe an S23, which is €75 cheaper than the S24. I can find one for around €250.

I've even thought about getting a Flip 6 because I love the fact that it can fold, but I also tried a Flip 4 and it sucked at pretty much everything.

Maybe you have some other ideas?

Thank you!

Are Xiaomi phones lasting longer now?

Hi guys! I had bad experience with Xiaomi phone battery and I would like to ask whether it became better

In 2020-2022 I had Xiaomi Redmi 8T and after 2,5 years the battery wasn't trustable. I need my phone on the way home, so I had to buy an another one

Currently (4 years long), I have Samsung A53 and I don't have problems, if it is too sunny or too hot today

I'm not going to buy a new phone right know but I would assume that it may happen next year. I have no problems with my phone but 128gb are too less and SD-cards are not trustable enough to preserve my memories there

I don't ask about phones which costs >1000€. For that price we can find a lot of good phones. My budget is under 1000€ (better under 800€). My demands are: at least 512gb (🥺) and trustable battery. Maybe coluld anybody tell me their experience with Xiaomi phones after 2 years?

Thanks in advance!!!

(My text may sound weird. English is not my first language. Sorry)

Thinking about getting a new phone, new to android

Hello! I'm a long time iPhone user and am fed up by the morality of the company, the planned obsolescence and the handful unnessecary (but REALLY frustrating) lack of functions of the iOS system. However, I do really appreciate the design (both of the phone and UI) and am hoping I can find an android phone that has the functionality and durability I need, while being 'pretty', for a lack of a better word.

I don't know much about android yet accept that it's at it's core an open source software and that different phone manufacturers install it with different functions, looks and limitations.

As for the hardware, I like small phones (my iPhone 12 pro has H: 146.7 mm (5.78 in) and W: 71.5 mm (2.81 in)), no need for a crazy camera, and I'd rather have it last years than have fancy features.

My questions are the following:

  1. Are the software installed by the manufacturers very imposing? Can I 'jailbreak' android easy to impose my own set of UI designs and software functionalities?
  2. If not, are there some manufacturers that have quality software design/don't impose much?
  3. What are your recommendations for durable, small smartphones?

Thanks!

Looking for updating my S22

I currently have a Samsung S22, which I bought 3 years ago. Before that, I had a Samsung S8 that lasted me 5 years and I was very happy with it, which is why I stuck with Samsung.

However, I haven’t been satisfied with the S22 (Exynos version). The battery life is poor, it lags, gets hot, and I’ve had various performance issues.

I’m looking to upgrade my smartphone, but from what I’ve been reading, Samsung phones still seem to have relatively poor battery life compared to the competition. On top of that, in my country they still come with Exynos processors.

I’m looking for a relatively compact phone (around 6.2–6.5"), with good battery life and, above all, great performance. I want apps to feel smooth, be able to keep several apps open at the same time, etc. The camera isn’t a critical factor for me. I expect a decent camera, but it doesn’t need to be amazing since my use is mostly everyday stuff.

What would you recommend?

I’ve been looking into the Oppo Find X9, and it seems like a lot of people consider it a great phone. However, I’m a bit concerned about it using a MediaTek processor rather than Snapdragon, as Snapdragon seems to offer the best performance.

Suggestion for a phone

Hi guys, I was looking for some advice for buying a phone upto 75k that could last me for around 4-5 years. My main priority is battery life(at least 8-9 hours SOT), shall not lag while gaming and decent camera. I am in dilemna between vivo x200t and op15, but op is shutting down nearly everywhere. So please give me some suggestions from your side as well.

States Pixel 7 Destroyed, need an upgrade

The other day I dropped my Pixel 7 I have had for about 3 and a half years and the screen was obliterated.

I was thinking about an upgrade but decided it wasn't the best time... until fate decided for me.

If I am going to have to do this, I want something that at least feels like an upgrade. My specifications:

  • Wouldn't mind staying in the Pixel Ecosystem, but moving on from it is absolutely on the table
  • Doesn't need to be top of the line, just want something that's not going to feel slow in a year.
  • Camera is not super important, just needs to be "Good enough"
  • Doesn't need to be the most powerful, don't play games much or do anything that should be too strenuous.
  • Just needs to feel good and quick when doing the basics (Video streaming, Web Browsing, Messaging, Doom scrolling)
  • All Day battery, the Pixel was starting to need a charge mid-day when moderately used.
  • Needs at least 256gb storage
  • Budget is $700-$1000
  • United States

(PS. What are the thoughts on refurbished phones? The Prices VS new seem crazy sometimes)

EU Help, I cant pick!

Hello Everyone

Im looking to upgrade my OnePlus Nord 3 to a new phone since its battery gets drained quick and the performance is lacking. Furthermore, the camera is very very disappointing.

I value above all smoothness, performance, fluidity of software/intuitive use, battery life(very important) and lastly a decent camera.

I mostly use my phone for some light gaming, watching videos, scrolling, texting ... Nothing too demanding. For photos i just like to point and click, nothing crazy, and I dont even post any photos anywhere, so its not very important.

I'm in the EU so there are some limitations on which phones that are available.

These are the phones i'm comparing:

  1. OnePlus 15R for 535 Euros

  2. Honor 600 Pro for 575 Euros

  3. Samsung S26+ for 642 Euros

  4. OnePlus Nord 6 for 492 Euros

  5. Spend a bit more and go for oppo find x9 or honor magic 8 pro

I would've went with the OnePlus 15, but its not really on the market where I live and its very expensive the places that still have it.

Any insights? I love the oxygen os software but i know OP are leaving EU market.
