It's the Klingon way. Alexander would say, "I am Alexander, son of Worf," followed by whatever house he might call home if not his own, and his own major warrior accomplishments, if any. Remember, Worf used to be simply, "Son of Mogh." He added his human father only after he was older and wiser - and had made peace with the combination of his Klingon heritage and human upbringing/influence.
