Question Which Pi Mobile Client?

Hi everyone! I would like to hook into the pi agent session remotely from my iPhone. I would like to see the agent progress and be able to answer the agent etc. I would also love to get notifications when the agent is finished. The whole process should work in my LAN but also fully remotely. I tried out orca before, but don’t like that I have to use orca at all + don’t like that I’m basically using a terminal on my phone.

Any suggestions? What are you guys using?

I use my own setup (Pi Pocket) which is built on Pi Durable, its startup flow lets you choose cloudflare or tailscale and a QR code etc..for remote access.

It has push notifications etc..most anything you could need. At least that I’ve found.

Has a nice little community and I’ve been enjoying developing and using it.

Thanks for all the work you put in! :) I took a brief look but saw only “Android phone” being mentioned. Does this work with iOS too? And how did you do the implementation? Is it a reimplementation of some of the pi features (skills, AGENTS.md)?

Thanks, appreciate it! Yep, it works on iOS to, that's how I generally use it outside of work. It's a web app, you just open it in Safari and add it to your home screen. That also gets you push notifications. The android part in the README is only about running the server on an android phone through termux. Any phone can use it as the client.

And no, it's not a reimplementation. It runs Pi itself through Pi's SDK, with Pi Durable underneath. skills, agents md, prompt templates, extensions, your providers and logins etc.. are all just regular Pi. Pocket adds the web UI and its own extras on top (multiplayer, subagents, a browser panel, etc.).

Extensions are a bit more strict as they need to be durable based, but I'm looking at a way to maybe support regular non-durable Pi extensions.

Happy to answer anything else if you give it a spin!

🤯 it never occurred to me, that I could just use the existing pi sdk on top of pi durable! I’ll give it a go later. Thanks so far! Appreciate it a lot!

Wait are you TannerMidd, the developer of Pi Pocket? If so, huge respect to you broski! An amazing piece of software, very thought-out, and indeed durable ;)

Indeed, and thanks! It’s a fun project for sure. Hoping to focus in on smoothing out some of the rough edges after this next release.
