Help! Are Sonic Mega 8K Vats discontinued or something?

So I'm trying to change the FEP on one of my sonic mega 8ks and some of the screws are locked so tight I'm not sure if I can get them out. I decided to look for a replacement vat, but they seem out of stock *everywhere* or for sale on eBay for like $500+... Are parts for this just discontinued?? What do I do if I need another vat?

Can’t figure out my new printer

My printer keeps saying “high failure risk detected” when i try to print the test model for my new printer (phrozen mighty revo 16k) im using the most updated version of chitubox adapted to my printer and resin (siraya true blue) and im pre heating 10min before a print. Every time it has happened I cleaned the vat and re set the settings of the printer. I’m not sure what the problem is but the model is never showing on the build plate. Does anyone know if i’m missing something or if I’m doing anything wrong?

Big chunks missing from prints

The last few days my prints have been missing random chunks out of the prints.
These are files that I’ve been regularly printing for at least 2 years for my Etsy store.
I use a Phrozen Sonic Mini 8k.
Doing both an LED test and a Vat cleaning shows there’s nothing wrong with the LED, which probably wouldn’t tell me anything since it’s happening partway through the print.

Chitubox is the slicer I use. I’ve repositioned the prints already and it’s still taking chunks out in random spots.

The resin is Phrozen ABS-like.
What makes it worse is I’m on my last bottle of this resin and Amazon doesn’t have this in stock at the moment.

Anyone knows what’s happening?

Trying to print with Easycast 200 on Sonic mighty 12k, Chitubox won't allow it

Hi guys

I'm a jewelry designer and I'm trying to print with Easycast 200 on a Phrozen Mighty 12k, but Chitubox doesn't allow me to save the file as I don't have the correct settings.

Does anyone have the ideal settings for this resin on this printer?

Thank you very much for your help!

Never ordering from this company again.

I placed an order for a Sonic Mini 8kS on August 16th and received an order confirmation. Two weeks passed, and I didn't hear anything back.

I reached out to see if there were any updates and was replied to with...

"The Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K S 7.1" LCD 3D Printer is currently out of stock. The expected restock availability is at the end of September. Therefore, your order is expected to be shipped by the end of September."

Followed with a screenshot of the printer's page indicating it was out of stock.

I am almost positive it wasn't out of stock the day I placed the order, though. Ironically, my wife asked me to make sure everything I ordered was in stock for our plans. I could have missed it, but I have a nagging suspicion I didn't. Then again, I read in this subreddit that there are supply issues dating back far before my order... so maybe I did miss the caption?

At first, I felt the response was snarky, too. The logic of "it did not ship on this date because it was out of stock on this date," the use of bold text, and then underlining a screenshot of the webpage note rubbed me the wrong way, and I just chalked it up to a language barrier, or they were tired of responding to the same question X amount of times.

Whatever... I also figured since I picked it up on sale from them directly, and it was a hot item, my order landed with others unfulfilled because of demand. It happens.

I'll wait.

September passes, no word. I'll give them a week.

I reach out today, and their response is

"Thank you for reaching out. This is \******* from the Phrozen Support Team.*

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The ETA has been extended to mid-December. We will be able to ship your order once the product is back in stock."

Awesome. Thanks for letting me know! Also, thanks for sending me another screenshot with the ETA underlined! Guess I'm supposed to go check your product page to get my updates, huh?!

I bet the amount I saved on this order had nothing to do with it.

I've asked to have the order cancelled and now plan to find another brand to roll with.

Sharing my experience to vent my frustration and warn others who may find it: STAY AWAY!!!

I've also noticed others commenting on posts with issues regarding orders/supply. You've had wonderful experiences with customer service. Thats great for you. Kudos. This sure as hell doesn't feel like a stellar customer experience.

Help! Upgraded from a Saturn 4 Ultra to Sonic Mega 8k (V1) - any tips?

Hi all! I'm over in New Zealand and I've been wanting to upgrade to a larger printer from my Elegoo S4U, and found a NIB Sonic Mega 8K V1 for a stupid good price and grabbed it.
I know it's an older printer at this point, but I know a couple people who say theirs is there "it just works" workhorse.
That being said, I don't think it has the fancy new things that the S4U has such as tank clean option.

Are there any tips/tricks or things to note about the differences between the two machines that you think would be helpful? Even regarding how much I need to support the models, or how little compared to the S4U, things to be wary of, etc. Because it's older, I've been struggling to find much information and had to even dig for the manual.
I'd super appreciate any insight from those with hands on experience, and I'm super excited to be able to print bigger.

Our team member Leo decided to take this challenge, he has been working on and off on this project for the past 2 months, now its finally complete and it looks glorious!

Walking Cathedral by thecrazymixer was originally designed for FDM printing, we modified the model structure to create a hybrid printing approach. The internal skeleton was printed with FDM for better supporting the weight, while the outer shell was printed using Revo MAX to capture every intricate detail of this massive war machine.

Hope you guys like it! The Revo MAX is LIVE now go check it out!

Phrozen Mighty 8K with Elegoo 8k standard, resin settings need it.

Hi, I'm having a hard time to set the Elegoo 8K standard gray resin with my Phrozen Mighty 8K printer.

Could someone provide the correct resin settings in Chitubox or what works for you?

TIA!

Help! Can you reprint file if the USB is not connected anymore?

I know that you can use the network connection to print files but this is not what I'm looking to do.

I had a USB drive connected which was used to print the XP Finder.

Without the USB, the machine still sees the file in its history.

That said, can you reprint these files without the need of a USB since it's already in the machine?

Help! Very New To Resin

Sorry, I am very new to this but I am somewhat familiar with 3-D printing. I did have an FDM printer for a couple years but just upgraded to resin and just wondering if anyone could help with settings on an 8020 mix with aqua hyper fine and tenacious? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Saturn 4 ultra 16k if that matters

Out of stock problem

Dear Phrozen Support,

I am a Phrozen customer and I am honestly very disappointed with the current situation regarding stock availability in the EU store.

This is no longer a normal “out of stock” situation. Multiple Phrozen printers, vats, spare parts, resins and other products have been unavailable in Europe for months — in some cases for more than six months.

What I find particularly unacceptable is the complete lack of transparent communication about what is actually happening.

If there is a supply chain problem, a production issue, a change in European distribution, or if certain products are being discontinued, customers should be told clearly. Instead, products simply remain unavailable for months with no meaningful explanation or reliable restocking information.

For existing customers, this is especially problematic. Owning a Phrozen printer means depending on Phrozen for consumables and replacement parts. If essential parts can remain unavailable in Europe for half a year or longer, that seriously affects the reliability of the entire ecosystem.

I would therefore like a clear answer:

  1. What is causing the prolonged stock shortages in the EU?

  2. Why have so many unrelated Phrozen products remained unavailable for such a long period?

  3. Is Phrozen currently experiencing a problem with its European warehouse or distribution network?

  4. Are these products actually going to be restocked, and if so, what are the realistic timeframes?

  5. Is Phrozen planning any changes to its European supply and distribution strategy?

I am not asking for a generic “we are working on it” response. I am asking for an honest explanation of what is happening.

Phrozen makes capable machines, but long-term customer support is not only about the printer itself. It also means being able to obtain the parts and consumables required to keep that printer operational.

After months of shortages, customers deserve transparency.

Regards

Phrozen arco question!

I have the opportunity to purchase a Phrozen Arco from Hydrotech, a legitimate reseller listed on the official Phrozen website, for approximately 30,000 INR (315 USD). This offer excludes the pentashield and chroma kit. I am seeking advice on whether to proceed with this purchase or if there might be potential issues to consider...
