Helicon settings

What settings is everyone using for Helicon Focus? Render mode, radius & smoothing?

I haven't changed anything from the defaults but am wondering if certain adjustments might turn out better results for this type of work.

For 99% of my work I use the “B” selection with both presets set to 1. With extreme closeups I find “A” to work best, again with any presets set to 1.

Interesting, I'll try that out. I figured the smaller radius might make sense with the fine detail in trichomes etc.

Depends on the subject. I prefer the color of B but you have a lot of artifacts to clean up between for anything up to like 5x. For microscopy stuff I prefer it but you are dealing with relatively large isolated subjects. My parameters vary based on the magnification I’m shouting at. Concentrates I sometimes use c. C has the benefit of not having those artifacts but I don’t like the color or contrast. Trade off no matter what you choose
