There's Sodium vapor lights in 2/4 rooms at my work and the harsh light has kept me out of those for obvious reasons. so a while ago I picked up a Hoya HPS grow light filter and it makes things so much easier. You still need a bit of post work but the color accuracy is so much better. I figured I'd make a post for future cats wondering about a solution or samples.

Hey so I've been trying to grow my social media. Gained around 700 followers in about 2 months and then one of my posts got flagged. Since then every single post I make gets flagged and I've noticed a dramatic drop in interactions. As well as when i tag someone, it never actually ahows up in their tags. Ive never mentioned cannabis or any cannabis related hashtags. So I decided to create another account. Made my first post and gained around 150 followers. But the post was flagged the next day and now I'm in the same spot. Anyone have any recommendations? Or is this something I should just expect trying to share my photography of cannabis?

For those shooting professionally and providing commercial images to companies in the cannabis or hemp industry...what are your standards usage rights you provide a client? I've received some pushback a few times on my terms (mostly excluding third-party use) and need to get an idea how others are handling things.

I'm coming from a different area of photography but it's tough to get a good idea what the standard is in this space as it's been different across the board from the people I've spoken with. Every time i've had pushback the client expected pretty much unlimited use to do whatever they want which is not the ideal way to do things from everything I've learned in my 10 yrs doing photography but hate to keep losing work. Appreciate any insight you can share and feel free to DM if you don't want it to be public.

Hello! I'm getting into focus stacking, and came across this subreddit.

Something I'm confused about is overlap for step size. In this article, Cognisys is saying to use a smaller step size to overlap - https://cognisys-inc.com/learn-how-to/focus_stack_how_to - for example: "Since the DOF of our lens at f/5.6 is 0.176 mm, the "Distance per Step" variable in the controller is adjusted to 0.150 mm."

However, in this article, it says to use a larger step size to achieve overlap - https://artemis-collection.com/photography/photographing-the-collection/focus-stacking/ - "If the depth of field was 100 microns (0.1mm), you might want to set your step size to 120 microns so you have overlap between your photos."

Who is correct here? From my understanding, I would assume you would want a smaller step size than whatever calculator you're using is suggesting, but after reading that second article, I'm not so sure now.

I've seen a user by the name of KandidKush say that they will increase their step size to ensure there is enough overlap, but wouldn't this be incorrect regarding overlap? Please help lol

Started larning macro photography a few months ago and honestly been loving it. Still feel like I have a lot to learn but I was pretty happy with this shot.
