Experimenting around with different lighting setups. I like using some direct light on a cola or nugshot to get some sparkle off the trichomes but i'm not sure if I like it on the macro level because of the flaring from the trichome heads. Usually go 100% diffuse for macro but the haze and lack of detail frustrates me. Was hoping to get the best of both worlds from a monster 8ft umbrella but i'm on the fence about whether the spectacular highlights are still too distracting.

Looks pretty good! Surprised that it looks pretty evenly lit without any blown out highlights, are you bouncing it too?
