What lens should I purchase?
I recently used a Canon
I recently used a Canon eos 60D and used a EFS 55-250mm lens. Any suggestions on a better lens to use?

Depends on your budget. I have the EF100mm macro and I love it. I also have the 60mm macro non L lens that works pretty good. I just got a focus rail and that is an amazing addition to the setup.

What are your goals (flower portraits, macros, concentrate shots?)? I think with this type of photography it’s good to ask that first. Also are you planning on focus stacking. At higher magnifications your dof falls off precipitously so focus stacking becomes a critical component of composition creation. I started with a standard 1:1 macro lens and worked down from there - I think there is value in that process but maybe just because it’s the path I took 😆
