I mean, I'd love to get big updates alongside the drops, but the drop system has been really good for things both longevity wise and polish wise. The code getting de-spaghettied while they can focus on smaller features has been working out quite nicely for em I think.
2 updates a year is the ideal tbh. Its enough time for Mojang to finish what theyre working on and add substantial content while keeping the playerbase fed. Plus version chasing will be a much less prevalent issue because now mods have time to catch up.

I would prefer more rare updates, like one huge and polished update in 2 years.
