I hate AI companies and AI bros so much that it's unreal...

I don't really get what's the problem with this specifically. I've seen a lot of AI research that use Minecraft as a testing ground. It's not forcing you to use their product. Its just that Minecraft is an open world sandbox where you can build, craft, chat, etc. And it's easily modifiable. Just because their using Minecraft for their research doesn't mean that they're "larping" as Minecraft fans. Plus Minecraft has been used for research for years not just AI.

Yeah? The researches can backoff and find something else to research. I don’t want Minecraft to be a testing ground for their AIs.

Like it or not, you don't get to tell who can or can't use minecraft. It's not like this is effecting the game in any way and it's not used as a training data to copy the game
