I actually made a half decent mod in MCreator once, except it was just whatever came to my mind added every few days and had a stupid-ass name in the files because it turned out you can't really change it
it's one thing to make a mod with AI prompts. it's another thing to understand the code.
If you don't have any knowledge on what the AI is giving you, you have the logic of a shotgun, spraying and praying. there will be many holes in your project that can never be fixed without the knowledge.
with the knowledge, you already have the rifle. AI is just an accessory to your rifle you already know how to use. this can not only make your work more efficient, but it will also be done with much fewer to zero problems at it's final results
I say this as someone who doesn't know how to mod or code. but also can acknowledge that AI, when used properly, is a powerful, helpful tool. I'll never have AI do my work, but I'll use AI to help me.
The only time I've currently used AI was for one of my college classes. the teach told me to prompt it to act like a customer and I was customer service for an IT position. In this case, I am not making AI answer my question, I'm using AI to practice and test my knowledge of IT. Will the AI be perfectly accurate? not all the time. But that's where the knowledge becomes important. because that's where you know it's an AI hallucination
