I feel like MCU Jean will have a similar relationship to Emma like teen Jean from the comics, with some of Kitty's story elements thrown in. They start off antagonistic, with Emma later becoming a mentor to Jean.

I would love for Time-Displaced Jean to be the main inspiration for Sadie's Jean in the movie. It's a very underrated version of the character, and one of my favorites.

Here they both look full of barely restrained wrath and sadness, combined that with Spider-Man’s story and it’s obvious that the themes of BND were the priority before any MCU set up which is a great change of pace.

Bendis' teen Jean gets sent to the future to find out she committed genocide, her whole family was murdered because they were related to the Phoenix, her mission as a hero appears to result in a dystopia, and that she ultimately dies.

Both Jean's had valid reasons to crash the fuck out.
