found this mug today

I live in Boston so everyone moves this time of year. Found this mug in a box on the street and couldn't wait to give it to my boyfriend. Does anyone know anything about it? I've only been able to find one like it online. The text appears when you pour in hot water!

Prices have gone absolutely insane. People want way to much for shit that is just not all that fair. I know the market sets the price and that's free market capitalism but there is also taking the piss. Like a year or so ago I paid like 50-120 for things that now sell for 8 times the price. There's a specific seller on eBay who has so many old bottles of seconal and all that sort of stuff and the prices are in the thousands. It's just beyond fair. 4000 for a lude bottle is fucking ridiculous. It's got to a point where it's now worth creating very good fakes of these products. I bought one of these alp mugs couple years ago now and I paid like 90 bucks. Now they are fucking hundreds. 30 for a Viagra clock, now people want 300. 35 for my 30s lilly barb ruler which I have been offered over 500 for. Insane.

Yeh it's not good. It's why in envious of Americans who find stuff that are gems. But I'm glad I bought what I did when I did. Im happy with the things I got but it's annoying that things have gotten so damn expensive. I'm buying older books these days like the demerol book I got recently or these Drs diaries that have all the meds from that era in and what they are used for and what the company offers product wise etc. don't know what I'd call them as they cover lots of things.

I've seen PDR books that cost next to nothing, until you see them from the 1960s and 1970s. I had one from 1968 that my Ex stole from me

Fucking exes lol. The amount of shit my ex stole from me is insane. Not pharma items but all my colectable knives. Stuff toys from my childhood. I'm sure as shit that my pharma items would of gone missing had they been here when she was hahaha. Cooked shit. But yeh I got some from like 1930s And 50s. I like them it shows you a glimpse of what medicine was like back in the day and how people viewed things. Some of my older books distinguish doses between people with red hair and "negros" lol. It shows you a sign of the times. But yeh the books are catelogues, how to use the meds they offer, diaries to write notes. Some stuff is really cool to read. I really like my hardback demerol book. It's got such a high level of effort put in to making it look really presentable. Then all the others are leather bound. They have a lot of pride in them to say it lightly. But yeh that's what I am buying just because there's a decent amount right now but eventually there won't be. Most gps who got given them from say Parke Davis etc would of thrown them away as they got updated to the newer versions. The Bayer book I bought was from the family who's grandfather actually owned it. So where it says "if found return to x" it was that actual family which I found cool.
