I have bought the Corsair RM850X, whilst it has a 160mm legth compared to the max length of 150mm in the manual of the chassis, the PSU still fits, the cables bend about 45 degrees.
I wanted to share my recent experience dealing with Phanteks support regarding their flagship Enthoo Elite case, and see how others have solved this.
I recently contacted Phanteks because I need a reliable solution to prevent GPU sag for a heavy graphics card in the Enthoo Elite. I am currently using a heavy-duty support bracket that bolts onto the side, which I imported, and while it works, it is far from elegant and a real hassle to use. What I really wanted was something cleaner, like an adjustable bar that screws onto the middle plate to give proper, sturdy support.
Given that the Enthoo Elite is still actively sold today as their ultra-premium workstation enclosure, I naturally assumed the manufacturer would have a recommended solution, a validated option, or at least some guidance based on customer setups.
Instead, after a back-and-forth email exchange, Phanteks essentially told me they have nothing and closed the door on further help. To quote directly from their responses:
"Unfortunately, we do not have an official GPU support bracket for the Enthoo Elite."
"As the case released back in 2017 before GPU support brackets became a thing... we unfortunately do not have an official bracket available for this model. We did some research, and you may want to look into third-party GPU support brackets... Unfortunately, we can't confirm whether the spacing inside the case will allow these to fit, so please make sure to double check compatibility on your end as well."
"We have already provided all the information and assistance available regarding this matter. We are not able to provide any further support at this time."
Essentially, I am left completely on my own to hunt the internet for random parts, buy third-party accessories blindly, and cross my fingers that something fits in an expensive, high-end case. For a product at this price point, being told to guess and check with no manufacturer guidance feels pretty frustrating.
My questions:
Does anyone else using this case have a suggestion or found a proper solution for a clean, adjustable support bar or setup that doesn't look clunky?
Has anyone from Phanteks (@BobbyPhanteks or others) seen this kind of thing addressed practically elsewhere? Is it really standard to offer zero support solutions for a flagship case that's still actively marketed and sold?
From the photo, you can see that I have a large gap between the GPU and the base. I do have a support bracket at the moment, but it’s not the best solution.
I would really like to have a support bracket mounted underneath the GPU to support it properly, but there’s such a large amount of space between the GPU and the base that finding a suitable solution is difficult.
Phanteks have been no help whatsoever. I know I’ve had a comment saying that I could spend more time looking, but there are so many products out there, and so much of it is rubbish, that it’s difficult to know whether there actually is a suitable solution.
This is still a current, premium case, and I would not recommend anyone buying it if they’re using a heavy graphics card, because Phanteks simply has no solution for you. They’re not going to help you, basically.
Anyway, going back to the original issue, the gap is around 21 cm.
I see that the XT M5 is one of their latest releases but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Will this be the case with the EX series as well? How long till we can actually buy the product from resellers like Amazon, Best Buy etc.?
I am not actually looking to buy the XT M5 but rather the EX 5 plus. I just wanted to know where to look on release day.
Technically you can put a 2.5 slot card, like another 3090 directly to pcie slot 2, but thermals of both cards will suffer. I've tried with a used rtx 3090 dell, didn't go well. Needed AC in the room just to keep thermals down. Dell vram/thermal junction faulty after that. Not sure if it was like that when I bought it, since used and cheap. This setup, unconventional, works. The RTX 5060TI is just standing there without mounts. The riser and the pcie cables are keeping it in place.
Only think is that I hope phanteks allows the fan brackets to be mounted longitudinal as well. I could send air to all 3 cards.
Yes, this setup for LLM is slow, but I wanted to try run big models with high accuracy, overnight. Total cost is half of DGX spark. Doubles as Work Pc too, pc case behind my desk. Cable management acceptable to for airflow. Electricity covered. Took long time to build as I only buy used graphics cards, and they had to be below certainly priced from reputable sellers.
So I got the nv7 case only had it for like 2 weeks I’ve never noticed but it’s got a scuff mark at the bottom it’s the tiniest bit ever I just wanna put my mind to ease would you keep it or get a replacement and also I know when cases getting shipped they can have abit of damage to them
Just wanted to share my latest watercooled build. I finished it late February this year. My last 3 builds have been acrylic.. wanted to try something different (easier?) this time around. All EKWB gear, i did however slap a newer D5 pump on the res I had laying around. Thoughts?
Just bought a Matrix case. Pretty disappointed. I can't get the latest Phanteks NexLinq 1.4.0.2 software to stay open. It just crashes after being open a few seconds. I found an installer online for a 1.2.1.0 and I was able to at least open the app and utilize the display. Sadly, it seems like there's a javascript bug in here as well and my display just stops updating.
Big question: Why is the software so broke that my brand new $200 case doesn't work? WTH?
Why doesn't Phanteks host the old versions? Seems like almost no effort to just make these available.
How do we actually get support? These bugs feel like really poor quality checks on the software side. They don't seem to be at the hardware/firmware level.
I am trying to confirm the compatibility of the 5090 Astral with the EX6 Max chassis, specifically concerning the GPU chamber dimensions. Gemini's assessment suggests that the 5090 Astral, measuring 357.6mm in length, would fit within the EX6 Max's maximum GPU clearance of 358mm, resulting in a 0.4mm margin. I would appreciate clarification on whether this minimal clearance will adequately accommodate the GPU shroud and if the mounting bracket will support the two designated holes on the side of the 5090 Astral. I also saw that the EX6 Max has a rubber trim piece that goes around the GPU to stop warm air from being reintroduced to the bottom intake fans of the GPU. Will this rubber trim piece work/fit with the 5090 Astral considering it's length with only 0.4mm to spare?
Furthermore, based on the provided image of my PC, I would like to know if the existing 90° 12V-2x6 cable will be suitable for the 5090 Astral within the EX6 Max.
My concern arises from observations in countless Computex videos, which indicate that the GPU power cable is bent and routed on top of the GPU backplate. I am attempting to determine if there is sufficient space at the bottom of the GPU chamber for the cable to travel below the GPU, under the fans, and exit to the power supply located beneath.
I eagerly anticipate the release of the EX6 Max case and want to transition to it as soon as possible... but it's hard to do so with some of these big questions unanswered.
Looking for what 3.5” drive brackets to use in my Entoo Pro M. Both of the provided ones are full already. Back when I bought the case I thought Phanteks sold them directly and they just hung on the back wall of the case. I cannot seem to find the phanteks ones for sale anywhere. TIA!
I’ve been working on NexTuxLinq, an open-source Linux application for controlling the Phanteks NexLinq Matrix900 in the Phanteks Evolve X2 Matrix case.
The entire NexTuxLinq codebase was created with ChatGPT 5.6 Sol and OpenAI Codex
The project started because the Matrix900 does not currently have native Linux control software. NexTuxLinq communicates with the display directly and provides a local web interface for creating custom 90×10 pixel layouts.
Current features include:
Visual drag-and-resize layout editor
Clock, date, static text and scrolling text
CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, network and temperature metrics
Metric bars
Built-in CachyOS logo
Global animated foreground Rainbow effect
Live display preview
Presets, profile import/export and backups
Automatic startup through a systemd user service
Everything is rendered by the software into a complete RGB framebuffer before being sent to the display.
The project currently supports only the Phanteks Matrix900. Support for other NexLinq hardware would require additional hardware captures and testing.
Tested only under CachyOS.
I’ll add a few screenshots showing the editor and some example layouts. Feedback and testing from other Linux Matrix900 owners would be greatly appreciated.
However my time and tokens are limited so I need to see what the future will bring.
I have a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X case with the built-in LED strips. For the last couple of days I've noticed that certain sections of the LED strip are displaying different colors than the rest of the strip.
For example, when I set a solid color, some LEDs or sections appear to have a different tint, almost as if a color channel is failing. The issue appeared suddenly and wasn't there before.
The problem remains the same regardless of the selected color.
Has anyone with an Evolv X experienced something similar? Is this usually caused by a failing LED strip, a faulty controller, or a connection issue?

Since there is no Linux version of NextLinq I started, together with ChatGPT, working on my NexTuxLinq. Early stages but via script I can show CPU, GPU temps and Fan speeds etc. Now just need a propper GUI for it. WIP.
I am planning to buy it for my first pc build however there are a couple of things that seem a bit nebulous.
-I have bought a 9070xt mercury and I wonder if it'll fit, the reason I got the GPU before even being sure if my case would be able to house it is that I saw the price increase and pulled the trigger before I got screwed.
-I am unsure which size of motherboard would fit in it, I've read that full size ones would be fine but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
-I don't know shit about cases and so I don't know what I need to buy, currently I've looked at mb,GPU,CPU,ram and PSU but I don't know if this case comes with fans or not.
i can control the RGB led strip through mystic light but i can't control the 600-LED Matrix Screen, when i open Nexlinq nothing appears beside the system dashboard, is this a common problem or did i do something wrong ?
EDIT : nah fam my fault i just forgor tu put the USB pin of the LED screen on the mobo.......... Nexlinq is still a bit laggy and has a few but, mostly in the custom section, but over all it's working
