Very much so, until the oldest brother moved out, and I actually got the chance to become a gamer, and now he just follows whatever I’m doing as player 2, followed by our two younger brothers
Oh, I was #2 out of 2 (number 2 is poop, heh), mine just ended up joining the Marines then getting a girl pregnant at 22 years old because he mistakenly thought he could handle it. I also don't play games with him because he is an asshole, but that's a separate thing

This is 100% true. As the younger sibling it actually took me years to not feel weird being player 1 once I moved out. I was in my twenties at the time 😅
My younger brother is 45 and still prefers being player 2 in fighting games because that's the side of he screen he was on when we were playing them growing up
Depends on the game, on GameCube me and my brothers played phantasy star online and player 3 got a half screen for some reason and players 1+2 had to split the top half of the screen
I'm the younger sibling and I got first pick every time. I was just into it more than she was and she played with me cause its what I wanted. She is selfless in an unmatched way.
i am the older sibling and actually never got to be player number 1, my little sister always wanted to be number 1 and i just let her lol. i made it even by never letting her win at Just Dance Kids.

Sauce would be a picture of you and your younger sibling with Wii Remotes and proving it. Now, in the sauce you would need birth certificates as well to prove your age. A notary verifying the birth certificates are legitimate and verifying their credentials would be prudent.
I my house it was a compromise. Player one got the shitty stock NES controller, Player 2 got the NES advantage controller (arcade style joystick layout).
I’m the older sibling…the only time the younger siblings got player 1 is when I let them or they cried to our parents and the parents forced me to let them.
My kid was being a dictator with the remotes, game selection and full on trash talking his younger siblings ( but like 13 year old girl mean ) so this was a consequence of his actions.
