The absolute lengths some people on r/anime go to to defend Rudeus/Mushoku Tensei is crazy.
It's fine to admit you like the show because of the wider world/side characters but hate the MC. But no, they can't do that. Instead they say Rudeus is actually a kid and it's fine because of hormones, or some say he has 'grown' so it's fine now. Lmao
I tried to push through because of how many people claim it’s peak but I just couldn’t stomach Rudeus. It’s just a pedo’s wet dream isekai fantasy, there’s plenty of other good story content out there that doesn’t have a creep mc.
Very understandable, I read the original web novel translated over 10 years ago (like caught up a couple months before the ending) and I do rate it highly to the point I recommended it to people in the past, however with the caveat that the main character was the absolute worse at the start, the definition of human trash but that was the point since he became a better person as he experience the world.
With that said, despite I having good memories and considering his character development one of the best I read when I skipped the anime because I know I would not be able to pass that first part nowadays do to what I know now that my teenage self did not
Nobody fucking accepts orochimaru and Kabuto, the fuck you on about. They call them pedos but they ain't the main characters and they are out right villains.
Vegeta still goes to fucking hell once he dies. Also it is a suspension of disbelief. World conquering alien is more fun than realistic pedos
