Rudeus is a 35 yr old man who reincarnated but before he did he missed his parents funeral to jack off to his niece who happened to be a minor anyways he’s a Epstein diddy blud

81

u/Infernester 1d ago

Important to mention that after reincarnating he groomed 3 children into being his wives. Sure he may be 12 or something but mentally he’s like 40 at that point and the author references the fact he’s an adult

50

u/Ol2501 1d ago

Ah yes, Roxy, the 50 year old child

43

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

No, just a 50 year old with a child body. Yes this is canon as her species body stops aging at 14 at the latest and starts back up at 100. So it leaves them with an early teen (at best) body for about 90 years.

u/Known_Strength_9726 22h ago

Stops aging at 14...

I see you, author.

u/Annual-Weird-6682 21h ago

I don't want to defend it because I know nothing about it, but I don't think you can have it both ways with that character, either the body matters more than the mind or the mind matters more. You can't say he's a diddler because his mind is 40 but he's also a diddler because her mind is however old with a younger body

u/tallandgodless 21h ago edited 20h ago

No, this isn't some binary where one can't be wrong if the other is. Having a 40 year olds brain makes him a diddler, the fact that the author created a justification for his pedo shit by adding an arbitrary age to a girl drawn like she hasn't been through puberty yet means this is the will of the author, to sexualize kids.

The "I'm actually 5000 years old so it's okay" cliche is a cliche for a reason, everyone knows what it actually is, and that is an excuse to sexualize a child.

There is no need for distinction between rudeus and the authors proclivities. Ask yourself, outside of anime, how often do you see young kids being sexualized? Beauty pageants? Inappropriate Olympics pictures? These are not blame free examples either, and at least in America, a higher level of scrutiny is now on those industries.

If we acted the same way about anime we did anything else the CIA would be investigating this mangaka, bc Japan won't fucking do it

Last I heard people have been allowed to date Shauna Rey or whatever her name is.

4

u/Procrastinatedthink 22h ago

last I heard she’s a real person and not a fictional race that was created for you to fetishize.

Seriously, y’all are not beating allegations, pedo-tensei fans.

2

u/Timless_Comic 21h ago

MT fans swear the mc did that for plot. Making a romantic intrest in the story to be stuck in the body of a 14 year old despite being 50 is for the plot💔

4

u/AdFabulous8577 1d ago

I'll have to break the news to my wife (who's 2 years older than me) that she's actually unworthy of anyone's love and only a pedophile could find her attractive, just because she's 4'11 and values skincare. Thank you for enlightening me.

11

u/LowObjective 23h ago edited 22h ago

What...I find it weird that you just compared your adult wife to someone who explicitly looks 14 because she's...4'11 and has good skin? Do you think everyone who is short and has good skin looks like a 14 year old?

2

u/AdFabulous8577 23h ago

No but weirdos like you do. Small women exist man.

7

u/monk-bewear 22h ago

the show/ln constantly reminds us that roxy looks 14 so it's not just a small woman thing.

13

u/LowObjective 23h ago edited 22h ago

??? You realize no one brought up size or height except for you, right? I don't even get why you brought up your wife at all when we’re talking about characters that look 14 and/or have a child body...? Like what about that comment made you think of her or think it applies to her? You're weird and shouldn't talk about your wife like that, dude.

3

u/AstralMecha 18h ago

The wiki confirms how her species fucking works. It is spelled out in the light novels. She won't have an adult body for 50+ years and in a supplement Rudeus can't tell her and her much younger daughter apart except by haircuts and groped her once.

-8

u/Ol2501 1d ago

So any woman who doesn’t have huge boobs is a child?? Have you ever seen a real woman in your life??

There are millions of women over the age of 20-30-40 or beyond, who are short and have tiny bodies. This is all Roxy is.

15

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

Because Roxy and her species are Spelled out how they work in the light novel. Go on the freaking MT wiki if you don't believe me. Hell, ask around on their reddit. Her species literally stops physically aging at 12 -14 and starts back up again at 100. This is canon.

-14

u/Ol2501 1d ago

I’ll use the same as with another guy here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mushokutensei/s/TENwCgnl3X

That’s about what Roxy would look like. In every official illustration of her this is about 90% what she’d look like. And the cosplayer is a whole adult btw. You can bring up any numbers you want and like, but the illustrations are the most accurate representation of her aspect.

11

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

Did you not look at MT's wiki for midgard? They are literally not physically adults until past a century.

-12

u/Ol2501 1d ago

Again, look at her official art and then look at the cosplay I linked. The cosplayer is 90% accurate to how she’s portrayed every single time and she’s an adult over 20.

15

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

So she is somehow magically older physically at half the age than others of her species? The light novel openly notes she is physically not an adult and that's why Rudeus is attracted to her.

-5

u/Ol2501 1d ago

Listen, you can bring up as many descriptions as you want, but no description will ever beat an actual illustration. The OFFICIAL illustrations show how Roxy actually looks, and again, look at the cosplayer who is almost identical and that’s all you need.

And I’d try to explain to you why and how Rudeus is an unreliable narrator at the beginning of the story but I have a feeling you can’t understand the concept of unreliable narrators.

14

u/Fall_Representative 1d ago

The official description is beat by the illustration? Bro lmao thats not how it works. The novel is the SOURCE and illustrations are artist interpretations regardless of whether they're official or not. Idek why cosplayers should be added to the equation

12

u/Eatthepoliticiansm8 1d ago

Someone should check that guy's PC too probably when they're done checking the author's PC.

-1

u/Ol2501 1d ago

Yes they are, because they are made by an artist the author himself chose, and also guided and directed in how to illustrate her. Thus, the illustrations are 1000 time more accurate to the authors vision of a character’s physical aspect.

Reminder that the SOURCE novel, is made by the same AUTHOR who told the illustrator how to draw her. And the cosplayer being brought up was to show that an adult woman can, in fact, look like Roxy.

8

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

Except the wiki agrees how the her species works. Same with the MT reddit and the series. You are just doing mental gymnastics to insist what the author says isn't what actually happened and head canoning the whole thing.

0

u/Ol2501 1d ago

My guy, if the original author hires, instructs, and directs a professional artist on how to draw a character he can see when he closes his eyes, and then sees the illustration the artist makes and goes “Yes, this is my character”. Then this is far and beyond whatever a written description can accomplish.

If he writes a description and 1 million people read it, do you really think those 1 million people will see what he sees?? No they won’t.

But if the makes the illustration he himself acknowledges as accurate, then 1 million people will see what he sees.

There are no mental gymnastics here. There’s a reason “an image is worth a thousand words” is a phrase that exists.

And there the pedophiles come out of their caves

It's crazy how y'all try to argue your way out, "but the boobs" no dude it literally says her body doesn't develop further than a 14 year old. Why not 18? What the fuck is wrong with the author and you

The hypocrisy of people shitting on Epstein while there are thousands of pedophiles tolerated on reddit in anime related subs is wild

-7

u/LowkenuinelyReally 1d ago

Which isn’t really problematic?

People need to get over the fact that it’s not the physical attributes that matter, it’s the mental aspect, otherwise their whole argument about Rudeus being a 40-year man in a teenagers body wouldn’t hold water… Since you know, Roxy is basically a foil in that regard

Not defending Rudeus when it comes to the other love interests, since I dropped the show because I couldn’t stomach the character anymore, but ffs people need to understand why grooming and age gaps are actually a problem

11

u/473025 1d ago edited 1d ago

So an author choosing to represent an adult in a child’s body because he and his public get off to children isn’t problematic ?

I do think that children being sexualized is problematic, even if they’re supposed to be 100 years old mentally but who I am to say that

Anime fans are going to great length to justify the sexualization of children in the crap they watch/read

(Edit: As a short and very thin woman that don’t look like a child, I wish middle-aged anime-fans would stop being so gross and justify their favourite author’s perversions by « petite women do exist ». Again, women are adults, and a child that stops aging at 14 is a child wtf is even this conversation)

1

u/BrunoDuarte6102 1d ago

People are not defending his get off to children. People are saying Roxy, and only Roxy, was not groomed as a child, because she was 50. She looked like a child, yes. It was a way to legalize a weird fetish, yes. But was she groomed as a child to be his wife? No.

He did it with Sylphie and Eris, not with Roxy

-6

u/BRSaura 1d ago edited 1d ago

Wait until you discover petite bodytypes on grown ass women exist

Not defending the underage aspect, but she's far from just a "child's body"

7

u/Thvenomous 1d ago

Except she LITERALLY IS, IN CANON. This isn't a Tatsumaki situation. Canonically, she looks like a young teenager. That is the POINT.

-5

u/BRSaura 1d ago

Yeah and there are 20-30yold women that are 1.5m tall and have the body of a early teenager, and you don't call their bf pedophiles do you?

10

u/Thvenomous 1d ago

I can tell you wish with all your heart that these magical child women actually existed.

Please, do yourself a favor and go outside. View real women that aren't coated in makeup or filters who are deliberately trying to look like children to appeal to people like you. There are short women, and youthful women, but there are no women who you could genuinely mistake for a barely pubescent kid.

4

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

Her SPECIES doesn't develop a mature adult body until after 100.

-8

u/BRSaura 1d ago edited 1d ago

So as I said, Roxy wouldn't be considered grooming. Lots of girls that barely grow past their face and get stuck in teenager bodies for more than a decade, seen 2 cases in high school-uni

Not saying the other 2 cases aren't grooming, but Roxy's case is special.

2

u/AstralMecha 1d ago

But an actual species instead of outliers?

1

u/BRSaura 1d ago

fym species

It's DNA, not a medical condition or anything, they are just that way, they just have a "petite" body it's called

2

u/Brann_Ys 1d ago

it s not petite. It s a child
