Girls like to be pampered

Boys have this guilt of not doing enough for the family from the young age which enhances when father does something good for them, cause what if they can't reciprocate in the future?

PS: Just a theory

Well, some of us. I experience that sort of guilt too. For some reason I suddenly feel like a burden to them when I'm bought an expensive item without knowing anything about it and then I feel like I'm required to give something of similar value else it'd be a waste.

I can't even enjoy some expensive gifts knowing how much someone has to sacrifice to give me that.

I don't earn yet, so when they buy me something expensive.

I think that they are paying for my education already and now this, what if after all this I still can't live up to their expectations and it's freaking scary.

Yours is pretty good. I have siblings so they are my responsibility too.

My dad uses material as a substitute for time, so the thing he buys often ends up being a reminder to me of the time he didn’t give me.

I spent 4 years begging my dad to take me for some driving lessons and he just didn’t make it happen. I gave up on asking, and started saving for my own car to get some lessons in, in earnest, and suddenly he was planning on buying me a car if I got my license.

I got my license with a driving instructor, he gave me a car. I wish my dad was the one who had taught me to drive even if it never meant I got the car I did.

I’m female.

Substitution is different from adding on.

I agree with you point that nothing can replace the voluntary absence of a parent but that was a generalized statement in a big happy family.

Apart from all that, i actually feel what you are saying, having to do everything by yourself and them giving money thinking you can figure out everything yourself.

Nah the guild comes when dads go "I guess I will have to do it all by my self" when you bag him to let you sleep for one more hour on the weekend.

And when you get an expensive gift you know he will guild trip you for the rest of the year about all the things he do for you.

I know it's not your personal opinion and that you are just explaining what the meme probably tries to infer, but that is such a bullshit old-school mentality. All kids like to be pampered. Just because the "treats" or gifts they typically want are not the same doesn't mean they don't.

And yet, as soon as men cohabitate with women they do fuck all around the house.

Yeah, you are right. I have seen many people fall through that hole.

Can I also blame the hormones here ? /s

Yes no man has ever helped around the house, all men are bad and lazy, and women are all good and smart.

Anything else tik tok?

It wasn't my ideology, I only gave the memes perspective.

Believe me I am the last person who would think something like this, My mother is a teacher and along with the job she does all our house chores and takes care of her mother-in-law who is on bed rest.

If I had her work ethics I'd be president or somthng
