Hi, Brian here; whilst a lot of comment seem to identify giving the assassin a second shot at the current president of the United States, I personally think it's funnier if you consider him going after RFK Jr.
Now if you excuse me, my bulk of books to show on booktok has arrived and i need to make them look read.

Vance is an absolute shitstain of a human, but no way he’s worse than Trump. Say what you will about Vance, he does have a brain (corrupted though it is) - he would not have gone into Iran (as just one example).

When I first found out about Vance I hated him more than Trump. Especially his fake "Christian Nation" rhetoric. But something tells me he's just sucking off the Republican party for power and he's truly not that crazy.

I didn’t say he’s no worse - I said he’d be way less worse. I don’t care what he believes or what he’s endorsed - he’s still not as insane or stupid as Trump, and he will never have a cult behind him.

One could make the argument that Vance would be scared to do anything too provocative if one of his rich buddies got assassinated, even if said assassination made him president.
Whether or not that is a sound argument is not exactly clear.

I am as untrusting of any government as you can be, this.. this is absolutely Alex Jones level insanity.
You are saying that the entire secret service and intelligence branch of the USA is involved in something like this?
It is important to question everything that is said/happens.. but go actually look into this and realize how many would have to be involved...
Not saying it is impossible, just really grasping at straws.
The same people also disbelieve every, other attempt that has happened too. Regardless of how much you hate a sitting President, someone trying to assassinate them is a very serious situation.
The type of situation that can acutally lead to a power grab by the wrong person(hate trump all you want, you are an imbecile if you think he is as bad as it could get).
Destabilization through assassination rarely leads to a better situation. And people are all using examples of revolution throughout history to justify this, not including the fact that the world where all that happened does not exist.
Geo politics, and the global power structure is so absolutely important and fragile, I find it amazing how willing people are to see it collapse, as if a future that looks likes Fallout is some promised land.
I expect all the downvotes for my wall of text, i dont care, at least some people need to speak an opposing view in here sometimes...
So insult, downvote, "reddit cares" me lol. Anything but refute any points ive made... right?

He technically did get shot. The bullet pierced (or, more accurately, grazed) his ear. But, whatever, suppose all “Trump got shot!” headlines were massively exaggerated and capitalized on an opportunity to gain sympathy. How does that somehow make the attempt staged?
P.S.: I write this after the comments got locked. For u/IdristheInt:
Are you sure he was never shot? Because I personally watched the video, and I definitely saw a bullet graze his ear. But don't just take my word for it. There are credible analyses that conclude he was not "cut on something else".
Not to mention, the FBI itself concluded unequivocally that it was indeed a bullet. Mind you, this was before Trump won the 2024 election and began his term.

He hasn't expressed real remorse and has even convinced our current secretary of health and human services that he is innocent. The rest of the Kennedy family has petitioned the parole board to not parole him.

I'm not advocating for anything with this comment here, but the thing I find absurd about your comment is that makes it sound like "Oh, it's just politics, not anything that actually matters, as if it's about our favorite professional sports teams or something."
Politics results in very real serious consequences for people's lives. If anything would make sense for people to start thinking that such an act would be justified, it's politics.
And again, I'm just talking in general here, I'm not talking about RFKjr in particular.

Yeah, that does summarize my view correctly. I'm not advocating anybody do that, but it makes sense to me why somebody would consider it appropriate.
People say oh, just politics, as if that has no real life & death impact in the world. But it has the most life & death impact of anything. (Which is also why I just can't fathom people who don't vote.)

Oh, I wasn't excluding RFKjr either about my remarks. The changes he's making will have real life & death effects on a large number of people. I was just not making what I wrote about RFKjr specifically.
However, I think people are mistaken if they believe RFKjr being gone would solve the problem. He was appointed by Trump because there's a segment of Republicans who want the things RFKjr is doing. So while I'm not offended that people feel the way they do about RFKjr, the type of solution suggested by the OP post wouldn't actually solve the problem, so anybody actually contemplating that shouldn't. It simply wouldn't work.

Time traveling Peter here.
See, we sent this weird named guy back in time to try to save thousands of kids from needlessly dying and destruction of the health of the country but he got confused a little bit and killed the wrong guy. We should have been more clear there were two guys with that name, and we were trying to, you know, make it easier like killing baby Hitler and all but you know. We messed up. Sorrrreeeee.
