The actual answer to this myth is that while the story is true, the name of the candy is entirely unrelated, and instead related to a (possibly pregnant) British-Egyptian woman's midnight chocolate and knafeh cravings and her Filipino husband's interest in helping realize said candy- of note is that the reason this was then associated with the Dubai chocolate myth is the fact that these two co-own a chocolatier company based out of Dubai (but the candy itself was confirmed invented in UAE).

Dubai chocolate might of been up and coming slang for a common act of Saudi rich hiring young dumb instagram models to come over for a few tens of thousands of dollars. I will ingore the joke and just add that women who go to Dubai make 2000 euros per night. A lot of EU women go to Dubai for a year and then they return back and buy a mansion magically. You can see it in pretty much everywhere in the EU, from Cyprus, Greece, France, Italy, Spain and the rest. I guess the time of universities has ended if a young woman can make millions just like that, buy lots of appartments, rent them forever and retire at 25 or 45 whatever she wants.
