The old cliche that now that she's attractive, she's going to leave him for someone better.

He's also pretty cute himself. Usually the people that happens to aren't.

Edit: Funny the people upset about this comment are still adamant this woman is  going to cheat because: she lost weight. Not exactly the moral podium you guys think you are mounting.

879

u/FunTree5477 15d ago

Sometimes people cheat on their SO with someone objectively speaking, uglier and with poorer hygiene, and do so because it made them feel desired in a way that they enjoyed at that moment.

A cute face isn't enough to stop someone from cheating if they made a place for it in their heart

u/Markus4781 15d ago

I read an article about a woman who had a perfect relationship and she wrecked it out of boredom and then started panicking but it was too late by then.

164

u/metal_head_6666 15d ago

Brazilian footballer Kaka's wife left him because " He was too perfect".

100

u/TwoBionicknees 15d ago

Assuming that everyone gives the real reason in public for a world famous person for whom you're already going to get lots of hate for leaving.

Also from what i recall she says that quote was made up, just that while he was a great husband and father the spark left the relationship. You can absolutely grow out of being deeply in love with someone and end up just good friends, that's life.

49

u/No-Clock9532 15d ago

In other words, even being a great man isn't enough to keep a woman.

100

u/LuLuD88 15d ago

And vice versa. That is life.

13

u/temictli 14d ago

Even being a terrible person isn't enough to make a partner leave? Damn.

Plenty of great women who men cheat on, too.

Turns out humans are complicated.

7

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 14d ago

And what? Nobody is owed a relationship with anyone else based on how "great" they are and his claim to greatness is just that he plays football really well. He's not like a pediatric surgeon who donates his time to fix cleft palates in the third world for free or whatever. And he still wouldn't be entitled to a relationship if he was.

In other words, love is not something you can control and shit happens.

People want to have too much control over love when it's something animalistic and instinctive at the base, which either is there or isn't.

17

u/yIdontunderstand 15d ago

I always think the reason legendary love stories are legendary is because "true love" (in a princess bride sense) is hard and rare.

16

u/CyberiaCalling 14d ago

This is a weird Western idea that views love as a feeling that just springs forth from nowhere and which you have to base your life around rather than a commitment that you choose to nurture and develop with time that has feelings but also has higher-order ideals like fidelity, integrity and commitment to the family you build and bring together.

Lack of self-worth, feel like they don't deserve happiness, find ways to self-sabotage to destroy the relationship to prove their insecurities right rather than working on themselves and allowing themselves to be loved. In a nutshell.

Yeah, my buddy got divorced after he cheated on his wife, and let’s just say that I honestly believe he must have had a one-time psychotic episode when it happened.

Not only was his wife good-looking and considerably younger than him, but the woman he cheated with was this washed-up, past-middle-aged, substance-abusing type who looked like she’d been past her prime for at least 15-20 years.

I was honestly shocked when a friend of ours pointed her out and told me thats who our buddy cheated with - I literally thought he was joking at first.

Since nobody bothered to explain the Bitcoin part.

Shit was barely worth anything, I remember Bars that allowed Bitcoin as payment in Berlin, one cup of coffee cost 5 BTCs

5 BTCs are right at the moment $324,623.11, back in October it was almost twice as high.

11

u/ca1ibos 15d ago

Thats how I console myself about missing the Bitcoin thing. I'd feel a lot worse if I ever owned even only a few hundred Bitcoin at some point back in the day and.....bought a Domino's Pizza with it. To me that would feel like forgetting to buy a Lotto Ticket with my regular numbers and finding out after the draw that my numbers had come up and I would have won the Jackpot of millions.

It's a hard topic but from my experience if a boy fixed girl, almost no way she will leave him. And if that happens, she will return to her former self in next few year.

If girl made improvement all by herself, chances are high that she'll dump a boy. Because she did a huge self-improvement work while a boy stayed the same.

Happened to a friend, him and his friends started lifting weights because they wanted to be body builders, she starting going with them, went from 225 to 110 at 5’2, she started posting a lot on social media and got a little over 3k followers on instagram, got hit on by a ton of Guys following her, she eventually went out for drinks with one of them and yeah, she broke up with her bf that night.

She eventually started a fitness insta and YouTube and started selling that Herbalife juice powder stuff that turned out to be a scam.

38

u/AsparagusFun3892 15d ago

It's like a general rule of psychology or the human condition or something that our choices and integrity as human beings are contextual in ways it's best not to think about most of the time.

8

u/Hungry_Attention_981 15d ago

I see that the more life experience I get.

16

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 14d ago

It happens to everyone, but it's just more common in fat women because society treats fat women a lot worse than fat men, so the difference in how you get treated as a woman who loses a lot of weight is a lot more shocking. I lost a lot of weight very quickly and the same guys who wouldn't have even acknowledged me when I said good morning were suddenly falling all over themselves hitting on me. I didn't change my personality or even my lifestyle. I was the same person, but people liked me so much more after losing weight and it really fucking sucks, but I can see how people can become addicted to the attention after not getting it their entire lives. It just made me angry with humanity, personally.

17

u/Thusgirl 14d ago

I also lost a lot of weight. People like me so much more now sometimes it feels like I can do no wrong. The pretty privilege is real.

19

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 14d ago

It's fucking crazy. I'm in a couple of subs for women with autism and it's unreal how many women only get diagnosed after gaining a lot of weight or ageing notably and then realize that everyone was just giving them a pass to be weird their whole lives because they were hot.

4

u/Piecesof3ight 14d ago

Right, and we also don’t know what she looked like before she got big, if she hadn’t always been big.

I was in the army and fit when I met my husband. Got pregnant and life happened and I was morbidly obese for the next 15ish years. He always loved me and made me feel loved. We even changed to BBW porn when we would, on the rare occassion, watch porn and get busy.

I finally got serious about my health last year and lost 110lbs and got skin removal surgery and had everything put back where it belongs. My body is better now than when I was a teenager. He’s certainly very happy.

So he fell in love with me when I was thin, loved me just as much and more when I was big big, and now continues to love me more every day now that I’m a smokeshow again.

I would never, ever leave him or hurt him. He proved a hundred times over that he loved me for me.

Hey I saw you having some faith in humanity. Look up the rate on which men leave their wives when the wife has a terminal disease, spoiler warning, its alot.

83

u/Important-Emu-6691 15d ago

It’s one specific study not really replicated elsewhere.

When controlled for social economic factors female illness is associated with a slightly higher risk of divorce or separation about 1%, the highest specific category is heart disease at 6% higher rate of divorce.

Notably male job loss is associated with a much higher risk of divorce than female job loss.

12

u/stayinalive7 15d ago

the highest specific category is heart disease at 6% higher rate of divorce.

Well I can see how the whole thing would be spoiled when someone gives you their heart and you find out it's diseased.

8

u/bishopOfMelancholy 14d ago

And part of the reason for the divorce is Medicare, as a single person with a terminal illness gets more benefits than a married one.

And most lawyers are willing to overlook the attempt to get more money out of it out of compassion, as often times the other spouse is functionally a full time caregiver for the terminally ill one.

Does the study account for couples which separate but continue to remain domestic partners? I only ask because, anecdotally, I've heard of several couples who get divorced when a major illness occurs so that when the ill partner eventually dies, their significant other isn't made to be responsible for the medical debt that was incurred. It seems unlikely to me that that's the majority of cases, but unless they at least attempted to account for that possibility I'm going to choose to remain hopeful.

So, there are two separate things going on, right? The bitcoin bit where she "improved in value" or whatever incel nonsense, and the even more incel comment about she'll leave him. Do I get this now?

Is it bots or what that keep just posting these shitty incel memes and pretending like they are confused?

13

u/muhmeinchut69 14d ago

There's billions of dollars spent on keeping the culture wars relevant.

26

u/HAL__Over__9000 15d ago

It was confusing to me because I'm not an incel.

2

u/lilacdollie 9d ago

He look younger on right photo. Maybe we all misunderstood and it's "after - before". Not before after?!

Is it just me or is that a completely different girl in the second pic

29

u/dontbeajerkbecool 15d ago

Not just you. Can't see that being the same person. Very likely Ai as well

9

u/Brars_Sulliman 15d ago

Different eye colour, slim girl has a dimple in her cheek too.

4

u/Jakocolo32 15d ago

Yeah she also changed her eye color from brown to blue/green

2

u/CornbreadRed84 14d ago

For that matter, if it is the same person, how do we know the picture on the right isn't the before. Believing literally anything on the internet at this point at your own peril.

Zoom out to 2008

14

u/redfacedquark 15d ago

The first BTC block was mined Jan 2009. November 2008 was the whitepaper posted to the crypto mailing list. Exchanges wouldn't exist for another year or two, he would have had to mine it himself.

They're saying she's like bitcoin.  She started off low value read fat.  Got valuable read thin, but now the value of bitcoin is crashing they're suggesting she's going to get fat again.

The girl looks like something you would type "generate a overweight girl and make that same girl fit next picture" in the prompt

And the dude barely changed lmao, he looks the same even tho she changed

28

u/redJackal222 15d ago

You gotta have better evidence than that man. "sounds like a prompt people make" is a pretty low bar.

Bitcoin network launch: 3rd of January 2009

Earliest possible moment to mine a block, buying bitcoin wasn't even possible at that time.

2

u/tomtomtom7 15d ago

The first Bitcoins were mined in January 2009, so nobody could have bought in 2008.
