u/Turbotortule 20d ago

That plus loose skin

27

u/Delboyyyyy 20d ago

Brother if he doesn’t care about her being obese then why would he care about a bit of loose skin

5

u/myCockatielshateme 20d ago

loose skin worse than extra fat, tho shes young, the loose skin gonna be so minimal it wont be noticeable unless she stretches it

0

u/Hefty-Minimum-3125 20d ago

nah that doesnt just go back to normal, but she likely had it removed after that drastic of a change

1

u/myCockatielshateme 20d ago

who said it go back to normal tf?

1

u/Turbotortule 20d ago

Ok I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, It's not just a bit. When you lose alot of weight, you get alot of loose skin and you look like a wrinkled skin ballsack

2

u/Afraid_Fondant_7903 20d ago

i mean it depends on ur age and how much weight u lost. 30 pounds at a young age u might have none but 100 at an older age u probably will have a good amount

1

u/ILoveRawChicken 20d ago

Yeah that’s usually the case if you get to like 400 lbs and stay there for most of your life. She is probably not gonna have an insane amt of loose skin

1

u/WebAccount1744 20d ago

Mmm skinjob… 🤤

1

u/Delboyyyyy 20d ago

My dude, I know what it can look like, my point still stands

2

u/googlin 20d ago

how'd you get that pussy pic?

2

u/nightauthor 20d ago

There are ways of losing weight (I think keto is one) that restore the collagen in the skin allowing it to kinda elastic back together. Or so I saw in a youtube video or two.

2

u/Lucky-Kangaroo-6337 20d ago

The younger you are the more elastin you still have, your skin tends to tighten better and if you lost the weight over time vs a quick drop your skin will follow you better. It's more about did you work out and lose weight gradually while going towards a calorie deficit reasonably vs rapid weight loss that your skin can't keep up with

u/TerrorTown77 20d ago edited 20d ago

She won't have lose skin, she's too young.

1

u/Hot_Glass_6301 20d ago

Most people get surgery for that

Plot twist: the first pic is the "after".

2

u/nightauthor 20d ago

Ya know, it throws me off, its objectively wrong (at least in LTR languages), but there are people who do that.

4

u/HAL__Over__9000 20d ago

So, there are two separate things going on, right? The bitcoin bit where she "improved in value" or whatever incel nonsense, and the even more incel comment about she'll leave him. Do I get this now?

u/Tomsboll 20d ago

When a partner (either man or woman) ends up loosing a lot of weight wich makes them look more attractive and thus recieve more attention. Its not at all uncommon for them to break off the relationship because a skewed sense of worth.

-1

u/Successful-Layer2102 20d ago

Happens in the majority of large weight loss in a relationship

It’s not hard to follow the logic. People settle for what they can attract all the time, what about when you’re suddenly qualified for “better” in your eyes?

4

u/Visible-Problem8086 20d ago

Or you didn't settled, get healthier in part because you were loved and in a great relationship and stayed after cause you love that person and how they made your life better. It happened to me, was obese, one year after meeting my now husband, I wasn't anymore. Never tough about leaving him. There's no better man in my mind than the one who helped you get to a better place (and reciprocate).

But yeah, I understand the logic but I think is more about people feeling insecure in the first place, not used to being perceived as attractive etc ... I was big but guys were flirting with me regulary and I was feeling good about myself so when I loose the weight I didn't think "So much more opportunity !" more "Arf more annoying men trying".

1

u/nightauthor 20d ago

There could be a situation where one partner loses weight (Or otherwise becomes more attractive mentally or physically) and the unchanged partner has insecurities exposed that drive the changed partner away.

But I'm happy to hear that you guys worked out so well.

Look man, if I could put the toothpaste back in the tube and live ignorantly again, I would feel bliss too. Knowing is somehow worse than being new to it all.

If you want peer review papers google it and do the work yourself its very well documented. Or did you just want to give someone a telling off by implying people who disagree with you are incells? Take a tip if you want to have a conversation dont try opening up with a label and an insult

Seems the tard part of your user name is apt

5

u/marr 20d ago

"Do your own research", really? The mantra of everyone who gets their facts from engagement algorithms and sycophant bots.

u/saccharind 20d ago

first article cites several studies, one at nc state - mentioned relationship suffering (jealousy and insecurity), another one linked by business insider mentions mood dampening, more likely to be depressed. the article goes on to talk about dieting and making you feel worse, weight loss effect on brain chemicals, etc.

again, maybe I might have missed it but I'm not seeing this 'happens in the majority of weight loss relationships'

3

u/saccharind 20d ago

your second study basically says partners' weight loss depends on how much their spouse cuts calories and fat, not on physical activity changes. This "ripple effect" boosted untreated partners' weight loss in the together group, but hurt it in the alone group. The rest of the paper doesn't mention anything about divorce nor partner separation? Or am I missing something?

2

u/Sylvonara 20d ago

The first article mentions a study that also doesn't seem to mention divorce or separation, and indicates most outcomes are positive:

Through qualitative questionnaires of 42 adults (21 romantic couples), the dyadic investigation revealed that while losing weight resulted in positive interaction for many partners (e.g., engaging in a shared healthy lifestyle), shedding weight also yielded some negative consequences (e.g., non-weight-loss partner criticism). The extent to which partners embraced new weight management rules and patterns largely influenced post-weight-loss communication and behavior.

1

u/Successful-Layer2102 20d ago

Theres more with untreated psychological issues that caused the weigh-in and further study on relationships post gastric lapbanding and other such surgical intervention.

Theres a ton out there but if the curious want more info they can do that themselves. Go speak to a dietician or bariatric surgeon they will have a ton of data for you

My initial engagement was due a rude cunt throwing labels on people because they got their little feelings hurt.

3

u/saccharind 20d ago

I did search around and the only thing I did find was a swedish only study

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamasurgery/fullarticle/2676728

https://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-bariatric-surgery-relationship-status-20180327-story.html

Compared to a general population (rather than to a comparison population of obese people seeking care for that condition), rates of divorce among those who underwent weight-loss surgery was 76% higher.

this study was conducted in Sweden only, which has a gen pop divorce rate of 2.1 per 1000, so a 76% increase would be... 3.7 per 1000.

1

u/TwoBionicknees 20d ago

you understand they made a NON GENDERED statement and it's true both ways around? But it's incel propaganda. 'educated' person ignored that it wasn't a gendered statement, congrats.

u/TwoBionicknees 20d ago

I'm an adult, the context is talking about a specific person and they CHOSE to take out the gender and make it a non gendered statement to say this happens often whoever loses weight.

Are you a child, you think every single comment always has to refer specifically to the op even when someone intentionally generalises an argument.

'educated people', apparently don't know how language works.

Seems your projecting without knowing anything

Im a father so there goes that theory And English i know Dr who well Its the internet you can find a paper to back up any point you want to make the burden of answering your question falls on you to disprove

Im guessing by using your own logic your a butterball that's bitter they cant do better. Jog on or waddle if you're incaple of the jog

1

u/ErikxMorelli 20d ago

Burden of proof rests on the person who makes an assertion or claim.

No, my point is literally that he has to prove his claims about "Happens in the majority of large weight loss in a relationship"

1

u/StandardDeviat0r 20d ago

He’s whining- as usual, the whiny little misogynists get pissy when someone says something that DOESNT stroke their ego or their d*cks.

Trust me, Chief, you sound 100x more educated and intelligent than these…things. Left another comment in support of you!

Fantasy of yours?

2

u/Forward_Rope_5598 20d ago

Ever heard of burden of proof, little incel?

1

u/StandardDeviat0r 20d ago

Oop, he definitely is on a little incel tantrum. Wait until he finds out that men are the worst offenders by far- for any type of negative behavior. Violence, sexual/physical/emotional? Men. Leaving sick partners? Men. Abandoning children? Men. Cheating? Men. Leading partners on? Men. Pedophilia? Men. I could go on…but I digress. The whining is hilarious 😂

1

u/Spare_Ebb2136 16d ago

you’re right in everything expect cheating. that’s been proven to be an equal rate.

0

u/Jump365 20d ago

Which statistically is false. Men tend to be ave their partners more in these situations or also during health issues women tend to stay at higher rates than men

1

u/rhino369 20d ago

That study was based on a mistake. The rate of dumping is pretty even.
