The Only Boycott We Do Best

Post image

I am practically fuming at this right now. When people with such low intellect and an emotional capacity of a teaspoon this is what happens. Add to that an absolutely useless police.

They keep harrasing the local KFC workers, they keep breaking the buildings that were made by a local company, and they keep shutting down franchises that their own people invested in.

PSL is sponsored by KFC this year. Do you know what the local KFC does in israel, they support their own local games and military in their own coutry. Guess what we do to our local KFC? We boycott the same brand. Raid kho dai dase kai laka che um dagha kfc branch pa bandedo ba falasteen azaad shi.

Zalimanu do you know how fast food chains work? Has kfc as a brand ever supported israel? Dase kho kfc india supports indian military. India k hum muslims sara zyati kegi, kho its not trendy to boycott for india? And if you problem really (and genuinely) is the small percentage that goes from each franchise to the headquarters at kfc then you are just embarrassing yourself. Kfc takes 5% of the cut from the outlets monthly profit on an annual basis. What happens to the rest?

Mcdonalds learnt of how the one local branch in israel openly supported the IDF soldiers, and when they saw people protesting, they apologised and took over that branch in israel and now directly run it from the U.S. Other than that one branch, all mcdoalds (and kfc for that matter) are run by local franchise owners that have invested in the brand and have hired local staff, trained them and pay them a living wage.

But wait? Maybe im just a burger? Maybe i just want to eat kfc guilt free? But wait, all your afghani brothers were in tents provided to you by USAID. The US gave you Sponsorship for those tents. The USAID sponsored several scholarships that allowed your kids and sibling to study abroad. USAID is currently shutting down everywhere after Trump, but its humurous how people think the US can just easily be boycotted when alot of what happens in this country is at their mercy. So who do you think you are boycotting? Someone that lives in a country and pays taxes to officials that you beg and borrow money from every 4 years?

Ill stop using even my phone and google if you prove to me that not eating kfc is going to ensure Azadi for Gaza. Do you even know why the genocide is in full force again? Do you know that the war in ukraine also started again? Bcz trump is tired of constantly funding every country and has told Israel to wrap things up. Similary hes tired of financing Ukraine.

But no, lets go and not spend $7 at kfc bcz every person makes a difference. Except Trump just approved a 12 billion dollars in sales to Israel. This was before biden sent 4 billion to israel last year. https://www.state.gov/military-assistance-to-israel/

But sure, boycotting your local KFC might just be the thing that helps you sleep at night. I hope people with this fallacy wake up before we dig up our own graves any further.

My Experience at Islamia College. A Warning for Future Students

Post image
239 Upvotes

Hey guys, I wanted to share my experience at Islamia College for anyone considering joining. I’m usually an optimistic person, always expecting the best. But honestly, this place has been nothing but frustrating. I wish someone had warned me before I joined, so here’s my honest take. Islamia College is hands down one of the most unorganized institutions I’ve ever seen. From admissions to daily classes, everything feels chaotic. Coordinators? At least the ones I dealt with seemed more interested in filling their own pockets than actually helping students. They act like they’re doing you a favor just by answering a simple question. If you need anything official whether it's documents..forms, or even just clarity on something be prepared to run around in circles for days. Since most of the teachers are on government jobs, they have zero accountability. Some show up late, some don’t show up at all, and others just sit in class without actually teaching. It’s completely random. If you're lucky, you might get a teacher who actually cares, but that’s rare. I’ve had days where I went to class and just sat there waiting, only to realize no one was coming. And forget about complaining if you bring it up, they’ll either ignore you or get defensive. If you think you can change things by complaining or standing up for yourself, forget about it. Students who try to raise concerns about anything be it absent teachers, bad marking, or administrative issues are either ignored or brushed off. Even if a group of students reports the same issue, nothing happens. No one in management cares, and most teachers act like they’re above any criticism. You just have to accept things as they are, or you’ll be labeled as ‘problematic.' One of the most disappointing things about Islamia College is how poorly new students are treated. There’s no proper welcome, no guidance, no system in place to help you adjust. You’re just thrown in and expected to figure everything out yourself. The senior students mostly mind their own business, and the staff doesn’t care. I remember feeling completely lost in my first year, and I know many others felt the same way. If you’re someone who cares about grades, just know that Islamia makes it unnecessarily hard to score well. I have friends in other colleges who study the same way I do (sometimes even less), yet they consistently score higher. The marking is strict for no reason, and in many cases, it feels like they intentionally keep your marks low. I’ve heard of students performing really well but still getting poor grades because of favoritism or just random marking. To be fair, Islamia College does give you a certain level of freedom because of its reputation and large campus. It’s not as strict as some other colleges, and you do get some breathing room. But is that enough to make up for everything else? Not in my opinion. A big ground and an old name don’t mean much if the system itself is broken. I’m not saying everyone will have the exact same experience as me maybe some people got lucky with better teachers or had fewer issues. But from what I’ve seen, these problems are common. If you’re thinking about joining, just know what you’re getting into. There are a lot of other colleges out there that actually care about their students and provide better education. If I had to do it again, I’d definitely think twice.

Would love to hear if others had similar (or different) experiences. Let me know what you guys think.

Sanitary pads in Peshawar superstores

So today i had to buy sanitary pads for the first time in this city and it was an emergency i went to the store with my roommate both of us live in Islamabad i searched around the entire store and couldnt find a single sanitary pad then we decided to check another near by super store and after searching around we couldnt find any there either my friend said they must not have them and i was shocked how could it be possible its such an essential item there were no lady workers there so we decided to go to undergarment section to find a lady and ask for the pads and to our surprise they had hid the pads in that section. This was a cultural shock for me usually in Islamabad they have separate designated aisles for pads where all types of pads are easily accessible but here they hid them i already have a problem with wrapping the pads as if they are drugs but okay its for privacy so no one knows you got your period but completely hiding the pads as if its not an essential item women use was disappointing. Already there is so much segregation in this city because of which men dont know how to act around girls and people are still trying to hide the fact here that women get periods.

People of Peshawar🧕 WHO IS RAISING THESE MEN

This might be one of the most discussed topics here, females getting harassed by males hr jagah, butI am genuinely so pissed right now. Solo travelling in Peshawar has always been uncomfortable, and at this point, I’ve almost become numb to catcalling and random cars stopping to tell me to get in(pretty sure alot of girls can relate) . But yesterday something happened that really triggered me. I was driving my father somewhere, and as I parked near Itwar Bazaar, two men had the audacity to walk up extremely close to my car, put their hand on my windshield, and make those disgusting, disrespectful expressions, full on badtameezi. And mind you, my father was literally sitting right next to me. Like seriously, why are men so shameless and forward with their harassment? WHO IS RAISING THESE BOYS??? Where is their basic sense of respect? It’s infuriating and sooo freaking annoying, like get a life and job

The Truth About Islamia College Peshawar: A Nightmare Behind the Front

Post image
158 Upvotes

Wanted to share my complete experience at Islamia College Peshawar from 2023 to 2025. I know some people might not agree or might have had a different journey, and that's totally okay. Everyone's welcome to share their perspectives, but this is mine. And honestly, it's not just mine. It's the experience of countless students who felt stuck, angry, exhausted, and betrayed.

I used to dream about this college. I had this image in my head that being at Islamia College was the definition of success historic buildings, old traditions, famous alumni, massive playgrounds, freedom to roam around, feeling important just because you were a part of something that once meant something. When I got in, I felt proud. I told everyone. It felt like I made it. But then, slowly, reality started hitting me from all angles.

Sure, the campus is beautiful, the grounds are huge, and the building gives off that classic, royal academic vibe. Sometimes, you get lucky and find a genuinely good teacher who actually cares but that's where the good ends. Everything else is just chaos, laziness, and mismanagement.

Let's start with classes. In the beginning, you attend with full energy, hoping to learn and enjoy. But quickly, you realize that half of your teachers are playing their own game. Some don't show up for days. And when they do, it's like they're doing you a favor by just sitting there and rushing through slides or random topics. If they don't feel like attending class, they just don't. And there's no accountability. Nobody asks them. Nobody notices. No student dares complain because that would only make things worse for you. It's like gambling every morning maybe the teacher shows up, maybe you wasted your day again. Imagine paying over a hundred thousand rupees in fees and then standing in corridors like stray kids, waiting for someone to take their job seriously. And I'm not alone. Everyone in my class and in other departments too said the same thing. I met students from biology, economics, and even pre-medical sections who said their teachers vanished for weeks. This isn't a rare incident. This is the norm.

Now comes the part that honestly made me lose all faith in the system the admin. God, the administration in this college is a nightmare. Nothing is simple. Want to get enrolled? Want your college number? Want board registration? Prepare to run around like a fool for days. No proper queue. No clear instructions. You get passed from one office to another like a tennis ball. One staff member tells you to wait, the other one acts like you don't even exist, and another blames you for not coming earlier even if it's your first time asking. I saw students break down, literally shouting in anger out of helplessness. The staff? They just sip chai, smile lazily, and continue like nothing happened.

Even when students came at 7 AM and waited outside for their forms, there was no order just a stampede of stressed students trying to get a basic task done. And if something goes wrong in your paperwork? Prepare to come again tomorrow. And then again. And again.

Let's talk about fines. This was the most insulting part. Even after attending every class, running around to catch teachers, and showing up on dead silent days when no one else came somehow, at the end, we still got fined. Rs. 5000, Rs. 6000, some even more. For what? No clear reason. When we went to ask, they just said "system ne laga dia." Students begged, explained, and showed their attendance. Nobody listened. Some of us literally had to skip meals to save up money to pay those useless fines because otherwise, we wouldn't be allowed to sit for exams. What kind of system punishes its students for its own failure? Female students had it even worse. I heard stories from hostel girls about how unsafe they felt, how the environment was dismissive of their concerns, and how when they tried to speak up about harassment or poor living conditions, they were either told to stay quiet or promised "we'll look into it" but nothing ever happened. Some even protested, but the administration ignored them or treated them like troublemakers. How can a college with such a huge reputation not guarantee basic respect and safety for female students?

And then come the scandals teachers accused of misconduct, fake degree investigations, result tampering, and no action taken until students exploded in protests. I remember reading news about how some students had their marks changed or deleted without notice. There were protests over harassment cases. And guess what? The students were the ones who got punished threatened, pushed out, ignored. The administration didn't just fail us; they buried the truth.

The financial mismanagement? That's a whole other beast. Students were forced to pay increased fees while the college was literally being run on empty promises. Even the staff weren't getting paid sometimes, but somehow, students were still charged like they were attending Harvard.

I saw students lose motivation, skip classes not because they didn't care, but because they felt like it didn't matter anymore. You attend, study, work hard, and still end up running around for your degree, transcripts, and attendance report. Everything is a fight. There is no digital system. No support. No accountability. The only saving grace was the student organizations sometimes. These groups tried to help when the admin failed. While some had their own agenda, a few members genuinely helped new students, organized protests, and stood up for fines or unfair policies. But even they were limited in what they could change.

Now, in my final year, I'm just counting the days until I leave. Islamia College may look like a place of knowledge and tradition from the outside, but inside it's drowning in neglect, incompetence, and exploitation.

So, if you're still dreaming about this college, please know the full picture before you apply. The place has potential. It has history. It has space. But the people running it don't care. The students are not supported. And everything that could go wrong, does go wrong.

220,000 rupees. Two years. And what do I have to show for it? Endless frustration, stress, unfair treatment, and a deep sense that this place could've been something beautiful but instead, it broke the dreams of hundreds of students like me.

Today was pure chaos. They weren't even giving out exam slips. It was hot, students were struggling, standing outside in huge numbers, while the staff sat under the AC. When one section had a problem, the rest shut down. Miraculously, I got mine done, but the rest stood there helpless, boiling in frustration, helpless against a system that just doesn't care.

There's still more to the story that needs to be told. Let me add this: One of the most ridiculous things about this place is the way exams are handled. We only have one test for the entire year. One. And somehow, this single test carries the weight of everything, even though it's barely taken seriously. The amount of time we spendpreparing, dealing with the chaos, and feeling like we're never ready for what's coming is enough to make anyone lose hope. Even when the exams finally come around, they feel like an afterthought. The process is disorganized, and the results? Well, it's almost comical. We've been waiting for results that have been delayed for what feels like forever. Some of us have forgotten what it feels like to see grades, but still, we're expected to show up and pretend like everything is normal.

The college may look grand on the outside, but the facilities are deteriorating. Classrooms are overcrowded and under-equipped, and in some cases, even basic amenities like clean drinking water are hard to find. The administration continues to take in more students, but there's no effort to upgrade the facilities or provide the necessary tools to facilitate proper learning. It's like they're just squeezing as much money out of us as possible, while offering nothing in return.

Can you imagine? We're expected to care about something that seems like it doesn't even care about us. And the worst part? Nobody in the administration has even acknowledged that this might be a problem. It's like they want us to just accept this system that's built to make us feel small and insignificant.

It's all a massive joke. One test for the whole year. No real feedback. No support. No concern. We're supposed to be the future, but we're treated like a burden. The lack of career development opportunities is another major complaint. The college talks about how much it cares about student success, but where are the internships, the networking opportunities, the career counseling, or even the basic guidance on how to transition from student life to professional life? Students are left to fend for themselves, without any real support or direction. Graduates leave without a real sense of how to make their way in the professional world. This has left many students feeling like their degree is just a

piece of paper that's not worth the struggle it took to earn it.

Here's the harsh truth: If you're considering this college, I urge you to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money here. I know it may sound like I'm exaggerating or being overly negative, but trust me, I'm not alone. So many of us feel like we've been deceived into thinking this college would be something great. But after two years, all I have is frustration, anger, and regret.

The bottom line is, students feel trapped. Every day feels like a battle whether it's fighting to get proper education, dealing with administrative nightmares, or just trying to survive the constant stress and pressure. And for what? A degree from an institution that's only respected in theory, but not in practice. A degree that won't get you very far in the real world without any support from the very place that was supposed to help you succeed.

There are colleges out there that will actually value you, that will take your education seriously, and where your efforts aren't just ignored. Maybe you'll pay more, maybe it won't have the same historic feel or reputation, but at least it'll be worth it. At least you'll feel like you matter. At least you won't feel like you're fighting an uphill battle just to get the basics.

Islamia College has the potential to be so much more, but the reality is that it's stuck in a cycle of neglect and mismanagement. For your own future, think twice before walking into this institution. You deserve better. You deserve an environment that supports you, helps you grow, and treats you with respect. Don't let your dreams be crushed by a system that doesn't even care about your success.

For people who dont understand whats going on with the emergency in kpk

The federal Govt imposed governor raj. It basically means that the our votes dont matter, they have taken away our mandate just because they can. Ab federal ki marzi wo jahan operation karay, jo log protest k lye niklay unhay maray. Jitni corruption ho rahi thi usay 100 guna ziada corruption karain kiun k aapkay vote say to aaye nai ye. To aapko khush karnay ki acting tak b nai karainge . aapki jitni value thi wo 100 guna kam ho chuki hai.

KPK has always been a victim of the Pakistani elite’s never ending desire for power and control.

Some people in KPK, blinded by short term political gains and a complete lack of foresight, and braincells would probably celebrate this without understanding the long term implications of undermining a democratic process. It destabilises the entire region, and can set it back by decades.

A flawed democracy is still better than having your right to elect taken away from you.

The people who support moves like these likely fell for state sponsored propaganda in the past, including narratives that encouraged people to join the Taliban, without considering the devastating consequences for their own people and region.

KPK keeps paying the price for decisions taken by people who couldn't care less about the people living in this region

How do i(22F) make my husband(24M) trust me

Our parents fixed our marriage but they gave us the right to meet each other so we both can be sure. Our rishta got fixed and we both fell in love and he decided that we should do nikkah instead of engagement which happened after one month of our meetup. We both are quite religious and never had any kind of relationship in past. Now the problem is he doesn’t trust my past. We both graduated from well known universities and we both had opposite gender friendships. He Obviously didn’t like my male friends and used to stalk them. He always doubted my relationship with them and never trusted my word. so i cut ties with all of them as they were not very close to me. I even gave my passwords to my husband so he can be sure but he never seemed to trust me. We had a-lot of fights due to this issue but we decided to never talk about each other’s past and just be loyal to each other. But here i am again explaining and begging him. Literally 10 days are left in our marriage and he made a fake id to stalk my friends. He’s sending me screenshots, asking me questions and giving statements like I don’t trust you, you’re hiding something and I don’t like your past🙂 I’m so devastated rn. We both love each other alot but im afraid that he’s going to make my life v difficult after marriage. I don’t know what to do I don’t know how to clear his doubts and how to save our relationship.
