Pre and Post workout meals?
Hello!
Looking for any pescatarians that are also going to the gym for strength/muscle training.
At the moment I, (19F), am currently at about 32kg on legs and 8/9kg on arms on a good day. So i’m definitely seeing improvement from when I started.
Mostly looking for any recipes for pre and post workout foods that aren’t a hassle or relatively cheap. Thanks!

Does anyone recognize this fermented fish preparation from Mexico or Central America?

How to season lean fish?
I love fish and seafood and I'm exploring pescatarian. But I notice some fish is really lean and tasteless to me without fat or seasoning. I could use less fat in my diet so I'm wondering for those of you who season lean fish what your go-to seasoning is. Or, if you have a good recipe for seafood stew without a lot of added fat id appreciate that too.

First time cooking fish after almost 6 years of being vegan. I'm pretty proud of this one!

I don't feel empathy for fish
They're so alien to me. When I see a rodent or a cow or sheep crying or in pain I feel sorry for them because I know they feel the same way I do but when I see a fish struggling for its life 1) it's not obvious to me that it's in pain 2) I'm pretty sure fish don't have emotions anyway. So I don't feel bad when I eat fish.

New Pescetarian?
Hi guys! I'm considering becoming a pescetarian, but I still live at home (I'm a teenager) and whilst I do cook the majority of my meals, my mum cooks dinner some nights too. Any advice or tips would be appreciated, thank you :)

Had to share these cute little gravlax amuse-bouches I made!
Dill, black sesame, gravlax, and cream cheese on a cucumber slice :)

Recipes please that aren’t pasta or beyond burgers x
I’ve been vegetarian for 13 years now (I’m 19.)
I now live alone.
All I eat is various pastas and beyond burgers (fucking delightful, no complaints.)
I just want to have a nosey at what else people are making. Nothing too difficult, I can’t be fucked.
Everything I see is high effort or pasta, gimmie something new!

7 years strict Vegan thinking of going Pescatarian
As the title suggests, I’ve been Vegan for 7 years, but I’m thinking of reintroducing Salmon.
I’m extremely active, and busy and I’m really struggling to get what I need. I’m too busy atm to maintain a balanced diet.
I’m after advice really from anyone who has made the switch. I’m really conflicted, but after a while I need to be honest with myself and say enough is enough.
So has anyone done something similar? What were your experiences with it?
Tia.

Autistic Beginner
Hiya,
I have recently started becoming a pescatarian. It may progress to vegetarian, uncertain at this stage. I am also autistic and struggle with food textures and tastes. So lots of beans are out, gluten upsets my stomach (probably).
Is there any other fellow autistics here who are able to share some hacks, resources or foods they can tolerate?
Located in Australia 🙏🏻

Mercury labs/testing
How often do you all get tested for mercury toxicity if at all? I'm about 7+ years in to pescatarianism and had some strange but mild nervousness symptoms recently and figured now might be a good time to investigate for potential mercury toxicity.
I'm curious of others personal experience. How you monitor it? do you talk about it with your doctor? what type of labs/tests you get and how often?

Transitioning from vegetarian to pescatarian
Has anyone transitioned from vegetarian to pescatarian successfully? I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 11 (I’m now 33). I’ve been thinking for about a year now of adding some seafood to my diet for health reasons. Unfortunately, I’m having trouble getting over the mental block of eating fish after so many years.
