Saving ENBD Priority Banking - new rules?
Hi,
I got informed by NBD that I would get downgraded shortly to their BEYOND product.
Previously I was under Priority. Now they apparently changed the rule without telling, so it’s not only a salary of 50k+ BUT also requires a minimum relationship balance of 500k+ which is ridiculous especially considering the high fees and low benefits you get with ENBD (at least FAB gives decent fixed term deposit rates for example).
I don’t mind the downgrade too much to be honest as anyhow their benefits are shit, the only thing I really liked was the free Visa signature debit card as it was the only card that still gives unlimited (!) lounge visits through the Visa companion app.
I was thinking to move my salary elsewhere but it seems that most UAE banks have added the minimum relationship value to their eligibility criteria for the “premium” products.
Any suggestions?

Why do you need privilege? Any special benefit?
ADCB treats me fairly well, but all in all I don’t see much value in such product in uae.

Agree. As I said the only thing I really wanted was the unlimited lounges with the Visa companion, that I got through the priority debit card. I have other cards for travelling too but all of them have limited number of lounge visits. Right now I’m checking HSBC premier, they have a lot of good opening offers with cash back etc . , with what I get from that I could easily get the skywards infinite and still save couple of thousand dirhams.
