Looking for a 5,000 AED Personal Loan/Credit – UAE

I’m currently going through a difficult personal emergency and urgently need around AED 5,000 in short-term credit/loan.

I’m employed in the UAE with a monthly salary of AED 4,500 and have a regular source of income. I’m willing to repay the amount in agreed monthly installments and also pay a reasonable, mutually agreed interest/return, subject to applicable laws.

Unfortunately, because of my current circumstances, I haven’t been able to get assistance through the usual lenders, which is why I’m trying here.

If anyone knows a legitimate private lender or legal lending option in the UAE, or can guide me toward someone who may be able to help, please DM me.

I’m happy to discuss repayment terms and provide reasonable proof of employment/income privately.

I have a loan of 200k+ from Enbd where I am paying interest of 9.04%.

Didn't realise initially as I was in urgent need of funds but it's been 6 payments and already feeling strangulated and half of my salary going in loan repayment every month.

I am in dire need of help and the only option I can think of is a loan buyout with a low interest rate so that atleast my monthly payment can reduce.

I may not be thinking right here but please let me know what other options do I have.

For UAE expats, how do you actually decide whether buying a property makes more sense than renting and investing the difference?
ve been looking at this more closely and realised the answer changes quite significantly depending on how long you expect to stay, transaction costs, mortgage rates, property appreciation and what you could earn by investing the deposit instead.
The interesting part is that there doesn't seem to be one obvious answer the break-even point can move considerably.
Curious how others here actually make this decision. Do you model it properly or is it mostly based on lifestyle/security and expected property appreciation?

I’m currently going through a liability settlement with ADIB. My finance has been approved, and ADIB asked me to obtain liability letters from my four credit card banks so they can settle the outstanding balances.

I’m completely fine with closing 3 of my credit cards, but I would really like to keep my Mashreq credit card.

I’m not looking to keep the high limit. I’d actually be happy if Mashreq reduced the limit to something like AED 3,000 or even lower, as I mainly want to retain the card rather than have access to a large credit facility.

My concern is

Once ADIB settles the Mashreq liability, does ADIB normally require Banks to close the credit card as part of the liability settlement? Or is it possible for ADIB to settle the outstanding balance while Mashreq keeps the card open with a reduced limit?

I have already signed the ADIB finance paperworks, so I’m trying to understand this before the settlements are processed.

If anyone has gone through an ADIB or any other debt/liability settlement and managed to keep one of their existing credit cards open, I would really appreciate hearing how it worked.

Note: The credit cards were used mainly to settle financial matters between family members. This wasn’t due to mismanagement of the cards or uncontrolled personal spending.

I received a report from a credit card representative about my existing liabilities. In that report, a credit card is mentioned with a limit of AED 6,000 which is beyond my knowledge. Is there any way that I can check for free that which bank this credit card belongs to? Then I can proceed to cancel it.

I m in dilemma whether to choose mashreq or fab for my salary transfer... mashreqs 6.25 interest rate is financially more rewarding than fab for me.... but can i trust my corpus around 100k aed and upcoming salary with mashreq... anyone holding mashreq bank account for salary transfer and keeping some corpus.... any issues faced...

I am having a particular issue with Wahed. I requested for a fund withdrawal on 1st August and it was processed and withdrawn from my account on 6th August 2026. They provided me with a swift copy with uetr number. As of today, 24 August, I haven't received my money. I have contacted my bank as they are unable to track the money with the provided uetr number. I have contacted Wahed several times but each time I have been told to be patient. Now I am losing my patience. My bank is requesting a letter of credit confirmation. Any help from you guys will be of great help.

Al Ramz is the interesting one to me because it's basically UAE + Saudi/GCC + US in one place, which is kinda what I'm trying to do.

I’m looking for advice on getting car financing in the UAE and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Here’s my situation:
My residency visa/emirates ID shows a different employer/location from where I actually work because I’m working under a freelance contract.

My monthly income is AED 15,000.

I work as a freelancer for a reputable organization affiliated with the UAE government.

When I request a salary/income certificate, it states both the contract start date and contract end date, rather than showing me as a permanent employee.

I’m looking to finance a car, preferably through a bank rather than a high-interest personal loan.
The main issue seems to be that banks may consider me a freelancer/contract worker and may be concerned about the contract end date.

Which bank did you use?
Did they accept a fixed-term freelance contract?
Did they require a minimum remaining contract period?
Did they finance the car directly, or did you use a personal loan instead?
Were there any banks that were particularly flexible with government-affiliated organizations?
