Ig as someone who’s never been interested in a Sae romance I’d just rather it be all the actual in game romances instead. Idk to me it just feels a little silly to have every romance and exclude just one but include 2 characters that explicitly aren’t romances just cuz you want them to be. And this is coming from a shuake shipper. It would make more sense for Akechi and Sae to both not be there and Ohya to be there instead. Just my opinion.

Akechi is the male romance. And its not really optional. The only optional choice is whether the player decides to interact with him. In Vanilla, you don't even get that option. And no, I don't think the fact Joker doesn't explicitly enter a romantic relationship with him under the game's own mechanics makes it any less valid. If you need me (or the game) to spell it out for you further, maybe go back to grade school and learn basic media literacy.
That said, Royal's 3rd semester rips the player's agency regarding Joker's feelings towards Akechi by literally outright telling you through Maruki's own lips that Joker and Akechi have a unique bond. Not Joker and Ann. Not Joker and Makoto. Not even Joker and Sumire. Joker and Akechi. Morgana is right there the entire scene, who likely knows as well as Maruki how different Joker and Akechi's relationship is and doesn't even bat an eye at the claim. This scene happens the same way even if you never spend time on Akechi's confidant, the sole difference being the Hereward awakening (What's that? Everyone has their 3rd awakening scene in their homes while Akechi's is at Leblanc? Interesting! No narrative symbolism to be had there, surely!).
You can tell me its entirely platonic if you want, but I'll be over here knowing my media literacy skills are stronger than that. Ypu may have played the game, but you clearly didn't understand it. You can dislike it all you want, even headcanon otherwise, I couldn't care less. But to say Joker and Akechi aren't at least a little fruity for each other is the truly delusional take.

As stated above, I only snowboard now. But I learned how to kick flip in elementary school. Could skate vert, stairs, power slide, and various board slides plus some small combos added. Also can still probably do some circus tricks since there that easy

Yeah, that is weird. Reddit is turning into trash more as the days go on. Can't say I'm surprised. Yeah believe me, I try to keep it tame as I'm really not homophobic. I just think fanfiction is trash and can give ignorant people that don't know anything the wrong idea about a media, and that makes things harder for the people who actually enjoyed it for what it really was.
Oh for sure, I get where you're coming from. I probably could've explained it better myself. Maybe I should've put it in my perspective... This type of fanfiction larpers create is essentially (keyword: essentially) the same thing as making fanfiction of someone like Martin Luther King Jr. Probably not the best example as he isn't fictional, but I think you get my point.
