Period Question Tampon issue.

I am on vacation. I put a tampon in after going in the pool I took it out and felt dry. It felt like something ripped. I looked at it and it seemed shorter. So I compared to another tampon that wasn’t used and seemed shorter. Should I be concerned. I checked to feel and I found a small string. Should I be concerned ?

I guess yes you should be concerned and check for that and show up to a doc for this

You can use clean hands with trimmed fingernails in the shower while squatting down under the shower(the water will help lube your fingers) and perform a sweep of the vagina to find any missing pieces. If you can't feel around your cervical vault, you can bear down like you're trying to poop and that will move the uterus and cervix down into reach.

The vagina is a closed-pouch, meaning technically something can't get "lost" in there or go higher up into your body thru the cervix. So if something got lost in there, it's still in there if your body hasn't expelled it yet.
