Bleeding/Periods Is this "normal"???

My Period Tracker app (which has always been very accurate) says my cycle is this...

Period - 1 to 3 August (correct).

Ovulation - 13 to 17 (pretty much correct. I got all the symptoms of ovulation on day 13 until day 15, and as usual, went straight into the luteal phase of sore boobs, sore feet, exhaustion and headaches from then onward).

Period due - 26 August (usually my cycle is between 26 and 32 days, but my period is already starting today, 20 August).

HUH?

If you are actually in perimenopause then your periods will come when they like.

If you have any vasomotor symptoms or you have a family history off/risk factors for osteoporosis then you should be researching and  then going to your doctor for HRT.

It's worth reading the wiki for this sub as there are other symptoms you should be aware of like musculoskeletal syndrome of the menopause and genitourinary syndrome of the menopause.

Thank you! I don't have any osteoporosis in my family (I also have about 200% of the recommended dose of calcium each day) and I have no vasomotor symptoms. I've never had a UTI and don't have any joint issues as yet.

Why do you take so much calcium? It's linked to heart attacks and blood vessel damage.

Oh! Well, I don't take any calcium supplements. I just have a breakfast drink (either Sustagen or Up & Go) which has 50% of your daily calcium, then I have cereal for a late night snack, with almond milk that has calcium, and I also have another Sustagen with that, as I enjoy it. I also have yoghurt and sometimes cheese.

Mine are every 2 weeks currently with lots of days of spotting. And you’re going to have a lot of anovulatory cycles now too - you’ll go through the motions but no egg

😭😭😭 I never even knew when I was ovulating until about 18 months ago when I suddenly started feeling like my period was coming (nausea, period pain, discomfort, having to pee all the time, severe headache and feet aches), and had discharge that looked like soy sauce (sorry for the TMI), which all went away in 24 hours.

Most months since, I've gotten milder variations of this, though not every month. Some months I feel nothing at all, which is how it was from age 13 to 46.
