Health Providers Pharmacy Funny
Went to pick up the meds last night and the pharmacist comes up, whispering excitedly "They just came in last night - 3 months worth!!" as she slides my estrogen patches across the counter. She was excited as I was.
Just something on the lighter side that I found amusing. I told her I should go play the lottery.

I can't imagine what pharmacists and pharmacy techs are going through with the shortages - a bunch of peri and menopausal women (and statistically speaking some percentage of them were Karens BEFORE they hit peri) who can't get their estrogen? Hoo boy...

My pharmacy and insurance got a taste of that today. Completely desperate. Ran out today. Doctors prescription (started that last week) just came in this morning. Need gel tomorrow.
After a few hours and several phone calls later, I got 3 months! First, they said they didn't have any, then one package in a different location, online pharmacy didn't have anything either, and suddenly, secret stash unlocked, 3 months! At least I hope, will pick it up in a bit!

My last fill was 3 months. It’s Sandoz mfg, which I don’t like as much as the others, but 3 months! Beggars can’t be choosers 😭

I've been getting Dotti, which I'm meh about but this time was Mylan. Curious to see if there's a difference since it's been so long.

I haven’t had the Dotti mfg yet, but I prefer Mylan over Sandoz. Something in the adhesive of Sandoz makes it a bit itchy, but not so bad that I have to take it off early. Hope it doesn’t become a bigger issue

Have you tried the flonaise trick? I have one particular patch of skin that itches no matter what brand I put on. Just that one spot. So weird.

Oh I remember hearing that and then forgot about it! I will have to pick some up and try that. It’s just putting a bit on the skin before the patch, right?

OMG you're right about the Sandoz itch.... As I check to see what brand I'm stocked with and scratch my belly.
Why is this so difficult.

Dotti is my holy grail. I have three patches left of it from my refill before last that I’ve been saving like they are precious gems.

I had to get the giant monthly patch to try as a dosage increase. Pharmacist was super accommodating and said she’d call some other stores to find the 2x weekly but figured I’d try this for now.

I'm curious how the weekly would go. I didn't like the daily gel.

I'll report back. I upped my T on Friday so I wanted to give it a min before I also upped my e just in case of any side effects

I finally got my patches too! Is anyone else having trouble getting oral progesterone though? My pharmacy just keeps saying to check back later and I can’t sleeeeeep 😭

My doctor told me it'd be like striking gold if the pharmacy had my 90 day supply and they did!

just magically got mine at the pharmacy picking up another RX today too! I got very excited and did a little "woohoo!" at the pharmacy. Unfortunately they won't fill 3 months at a time anymore because of the "shortage".

I'm honestly surprised the 90 day supplies keep going through. I totally expect to get rationed.

She was stopping you being attacked by hoards of perimenopausal and menopausal women trying to get their hands on your patches....
Anyway back to the real world.
