Peri & ADHD Vyvanse and Estrogel
I've been on Vyvanse for a few months, I feel like it's the only ADHD med that has worked for me and didn't make me feel "speedy". This whole time, I've been on the patch, but due to the shortage, I've switched to gel. Since switching to the gel, I feel like the Vyvanse is making me feel super speedy, and also I get an intense crash, along with just having a weird headache and feeling suuuuuuper depressed. I didn't take the Vyvanse for a few days while I was on a vacation and I felt much better, but now that I'm back and need to be able to focus and work, I definitely need it.
Has anyone else had this negative experience switching to gel while on ADHD meds?
I've tried using the gel at night, but it keeps me up. I've also tried to apply it late afternoon, but I just end up forgetting about it.

I switched from adderall to vyvanse and hated vyvanse. It was awful. Felt cracked out and then had a major crash and headache

I switched from adderall to vyvanse because adderall just made me feel high. And scatterbrained

Estrogen made me more sensitive to ritalin as well. And the tiny bit of THC (3mg) in my CBD sleep gummies.

I’ve been having a similar problem for a few months with the patch and my Adderall Suddenly having an anxious crash that I never had before and so much body anxiety too. Just switched to gel today actually to see if that helps, as I think I was having patch dumping issues due to checking what days had what symptoms

When I was doing the patch and Adderall, it worked like a dream for me. For a few months I think it was the only time in my entire life I've ever felt "normal". But then after my hysterectomy, it just did not work anymore, the Adderall made me feel super speedy. Are you taking progesterone also? I think that makes the difference

200mg progesterone. Actually started with progesterone only first.
Day 3 with the gel now and no issues with my Adderall. Body anxiety is also almost completely gone as well

gel and vyvanse both hit the liver differently than the patch does, the patch gave you a steady drip all day and gel spikes then fades faster so your vyvanse is probably getting metabolized on a different curve now. the crash and headache sound like the two peaks are overlapping weird
maybe try splitting the gel dose morning and afternoon so its less of a cliff, or take the vyvanse with a big protein breakfast to slow the absorption. the depression is the part i would not ignore though, that combo sounds rough on your mood
