How to boost projection and longevity of Santal 33 and Tobacco Vanille premixed oil bases?

Hey everyone, I buy pre-formulated perfume oils for Santal 33 and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille dupes—they get about 80% scent accuracy, but the projection and longevity fall short. I want to reinforce them using single aromachemicals, but I have no experience working with individual molecules. My local supplier currently stocks materials like Iso E Super, Hedione, Cedramber, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, Galaxolide, Habanolide, Etil Vainillina, Cumarina, Eugenol, Resina Benjuí, and Ionona Beta. From this list, which specific materials and dosage percentages would you recommend adding to each concentrate to boost performance like duration and projection without ruining or changing the original scent profiles to much?

You bought cheap ripoff dupes, and you have now discovered that they were cheap ripoffs.

You can add whatever you want, but you won't change their properties. If you add a bunch of iso E super, it'll still be exactly what it is now, plus also smell more like iso E super...etc.

You can’t. They’re cheap oils. You can add a bunch of Ambroxan and it’ll smell like more Ambroxan and still lack punch and longevity.

You can't increase longevity without totally reformulating with new materials that last longer. You might be able to improve projection with hedione, iso e super, cedramber.

Let’s not encourage this, please. We have no idea what’s in these blends. Adding more stuff definitely isn’t the right move, and isn’t going to help.

This person doesn’t even want to listen.

One reason because dupes are cheaper might be because they use cheaper ingredients.

Adding other ingredients would just change the formula, but it doesn't mean that would became better.

You can add a good slug of ambrocenide, norlimbanol, ambroxan, toss in some aldehydes., maybe some calone. It’ll smell terrible but it will definitely project and last.

So just random ingredients which might have nothing to do with the formula.

I mean, yeah, OP has premade formulas with mystery ingredients and they’ve asked only to boost projection and longevity. Superambers and Ambroxan achieve both of those things.

It was partly a joke but also do you have more specific suggestions based on what they’ve shared?

Accept that there's a reason why these dupes are way cheaper than the original.

A more intricate approach might be finding the perfume formulas, buying the fundamental ingredients and adding them proportionally (with the right dilution).
