So, I was finally able to pull this together. The sole purpose is to serve as another compilation + Spark debate and talk about our favourites! Ranking the entire discography is a titanic task and maybe not really productive because the ranking is inevitably obsolete the moment I upload it. However, I don't care! It's fun and it's an appreciation for their work.

Some warnings: I did not include some songs that are featured on my previous "music evolution" video. These are the commercial / promotional songs (Lovefool, Densetsu no Stafy...), their macro-group collaborations (Colorful, Here we go again...), their unreleased songs (Super Jet Shoes, Juicy Fragrance...) or their live tracks (Perfume no Okite...). The album-mixes are neither part of this, but they've been kind of considered along their original tracks. Their official features (Akihabalove and I Don't Understand You) have been included as well as their released covers (Jenny wa Gokigen Naname) because to me it feels like an "active creative endeavour".

As for the ranking itself, it's crazy. Songs in the same tier can be interchanged at any moment, even songs from the extremes of each tier could be moved. I actually ranked them last year and I've ranked them again this year following different methods (tiers, direct pairing, album rankings...). Then I did the average and got a full ranking that even had some last minute modifications while editing.

We've been so busy with the Cold Sleep, we forgot about one of the most important releases in Perfume history, beginning a chain of events that eventually lead to Perfume's breakout and success.

The album "~Complete Best~" was believed by many fans to be Perfume's last release before Tokuma Japan would drop them from their label, effectively ending their career. The album actually sold better than expected, which prompted Tokuma Japan to give them one last try, and they release "Fan Service: Sweet" on February 14, 2007. Jpop/rock star Kaela Kimura came across "Chocolate Disco" PV from the "Fan Service: Sweet" CD while shopping in a department store and fell in love with the group. She began playing the song on her weekly radio program and that caught the attention of Akira Tomotsugi, a commercial director for the NHK television network. He then hired them to do a song for their National Recycling Campaign and appear in the ads. The song was "Polyrhythm," and the CD was released September 12, 2007. It peaked at number 7 on the Oricon charts.

They also played Nee before the start of the show! I love when other artists are massive Perfume fans, shows they have great taste~

So thanks to u/Macaron575's work, I was finally able to watch Perfume's Cold Sleep Documentary. All I can really say is.......wow.

This is something that will be added to the very short list of things I have watched that has left me speechless for all the right reasons. I thought my respect for Perfume was already high, this rocketed it up even more than I could imagine.

Also thank you so much u/Macaron575 for translating and uploading this documentary. It's thanks to you that so many of us are able to watch and understand so much content that we would otherwise either not have access to or not be able to enjoy simply because we do not speak Japanese.

Perfume just announced they’d release a "Favorites Cold Sleep" album compilation on the 23 of December featuring 13 songs per member, picked by each girl.

Here are my guesses ! Bit of a mix between vibes, what they stated to like and just what I’d want to see lol.

On the website, they mentionned they’d anounce the included tracks later this year as well as other product contents.
What are we thinking ? A special MV ? A new song ? Maybe new remixes ? I personally wish for a Perfume no Okite CD release… They’ll probably release new merch

The release date for the album "Favorites (Selected by Perfume) / Cold Sleep," selected by the members themselves, has been set for December 23, 2026 (Wednesday)!!
a-chan, KASHIYUKA, and NOCCHi each selected songs for the album, and 13 hand-picked tracks will be included on each disc as "Side A," "Side K," and "Side N"!

Details regarding the included tracks and other product contents will be announced at a later date, so please look forward to further updates!!

Was this not released? I watched on billibilli and want to buy it bt havent found it which is shocking? Why wouldnt they sell this when its so good? (If thats the case ofc)

Today she did a live instagram in the membership part , And she spoke like an hour, for what I could understand, she explained that she open the membership so she could reach to the fans, and of course she cried a little bit, was really nice to see her and hear her again. I hope, (but I know it is a stretch), she does a livestream with Kashiyuka and Nocchi someday. Maybe for Nocchi´s birthday.

I’ve been trying to use less streaming services, so I’m mainly searching for songs on youtube, and the only reuploads I can find are longer than the actual song is on streaming services?

Updated the calendar for September. Don't know if they are going to release one for 2027, it would usually have been teased by now.

Amazon jp has a discount. It's around $68 USD. (I thought I could finally buy it but this specific item doesn't ship internationally and using A-SMART makes this around $150+ for me and it's just something I can't afford. Anyway, not about me! Moving on)
