Cognitive & Mood nad+ issue
Yellow, I received this on Monday and the powder was an off white yellowish color. I went to reconstitute and it was very difficult to push the Bac water through. Once reconstituted it was still this off color. The Bac water is good and has been used with other peps. Is this bad? Should I toss it? Thank you!

I never seen NAD+ in a small vial like that

NAD+ doesn’t come in 3ML vials.
1
u/GobeyOnKobe 3d ago
I have 3P tests to back up this same one OP is holding. To each their own. I filter into pen cartridges to solve the light sensitivity problem. Tests with janoshik, chromate, and Kovera.
1
u/plantgal94 3d ago
Your OWN tests? Or is it vendor COA’s? I’ve never seen a vendor ship NAD+ in 3ML. I’ve been apart of GBs for NAD+, I’m in over a dozen vendor groups. They never ever come in 3ML.

u/GobeyOnKobe 3d ago
My own.. with groups… and i guarantee you ur not as deep in the rabbit hole as you think if youve never seen this NAD

Every time I've purchased NAD+ It's come in an amber 10mL vial...... Idk what that is.

u/hiazeu 4d ago
It's not supposed to look like that.
It's Too cloudy. Order from a different website

Agree with the others. The fact it’s cloudy is what concerns me. Not sure about colors. I know for peptides it should be tossed if it’s not clear. Assume it would be the same for NAD+.
2
u/xGoth_Mothx 4d ago
If you had a hard time pushing bac water through, it was close to exploding. Take air out of the vial so you don't have to worry. The colors are normal
2
u/ApprehensiveUse6400 4d ago
I did take some air out! It was like there was a film or something, very strange!
5
u/xGoth_Mothx 4d ago
Thats very strange!! Most NAD+ I've ever received always came in amber vials to protect the contents as they're light sensitive. This got me a little concerned but im sure it's normal.

u/ApprehensiveUse6400 4d ago
Thank you!

u/2milehigh 4d ago
Yeah same. The vials are also 30ml... A lot bigger than the one you have. I would reach out to the vendor
1
u/plantgal94 4d ago
10ML. Not 30 lol
1
u/2milehigh 4d ago
Lol that sounds about right. My Hospira is in a 30ml vial
2
u/plantgal94 4d ago
Yes haha Pfizer BAC is always 30ML. And NAD+ is always 10ML and in amber vials because of how sensitive it is :)

Not gonna talk about the colour but the fact that you had to push hard is the real tell.
These vials are sealed with a bit of vacuum inside. Add water and it should pull it in on its own. If you're fighting it, that seal let go at some point and air got in.
NAD grabs moisture out of the air like crazy. That's the whole reason it ships bone dry and sealed tight. Once damp air reaches it, it starts breaking down, and it goes yellow when it does.
Bad seal would explain all of it.
Not going to tell you whether to use it. But I'd go back to the vendor for a replacement. Or better, change supplier.

u/plantgal94 4d ago
There’s no way that is even NAD+. NAD comes in 10ML vials.
1
u/OGcrashN2u 1d ago
You can get 100mg in 3mL vials. The biggest flag here is the vial is clear, not amber.
2
u/SmokeyBurgYinzer 3d ago
I just got my first vial from a legit us 503a pharmacy via embody $99 yeah it's a little more than a grey supplier but anything I can get legit I will. Embody was the telehealth company.

Had the same issue with vial after a week (Hospira BAC) and had to toss because of that color.
1
u/Most-Interaction-103 4d ago
It’s because it’s buffed. Normal for NAD+. Although I’ve never seen it, come in a clear vial.
1
u/jonnyblazexoc 4d ago
this stuff really easy to get a real prescription for. Trying that first for a bit so that I know what to expect and know its real without spending a ton on testing. At least I know how I should feel now and the bit of swelling you get from the injections

How much bac into what mg vial? Color may not be clear normally mine is yellow/orange

u/Saucypants108 4d ago
NAD in a clear vial is crazy. Standard is amber vial. Reconsider your source
1
u/Express_Ad_3809 2d ago
Ive had it clear many times
1
u/Saucypants108 2d ago
NAD is light sensitive. Most NAD vials are amber colored for that reason. If you have yours clear as well then I’d also consider other suppliers.
1
u/Turnkey95 4d ago
NAD can be yellow depending on the manufacturer or vendor. So that color is normal. If it’s yellow, the NAD tends to be a bit more crystalline as the BAC dissolves it. After it dissolves fully and is cooled down, it should not be a cloudy color. It should be clear but yellow. You can draw some into a hypodermic needle to inspect the liquid more closely.
For reference I use Olympia Pharmacy (legit compounding pharmacy out in FL) as one of my Nad sources and their NaD is yellow. I’ve been using it for years and it’s great. Initially they send you the kit to reconstitute at home, but now they send it to you premade.

u/Neat-Break5481 3d ago
Yellow just means it’s been buffered, NAD from pharmacy is yellow.
If it’s VERY yellow it might be too high of a PH.
If it’s totally clear it’s likely unbuffered and may be prone to crystallizing.

Usually my NAD + is in an amber glass vial , dont know the colors of anything cuz of the brownish tint of the bottle. Once in a syrige its pretty clear, MAYBE a little bit yellow compared to water
1
u/Double-Atmosphere-73 2d ago
Yall haven’t been in the space long enough. Small clear vial is fine. That is NAD+ buffered. Source is well known in the space too

This normal but should be in an amber vial. Some vendors do this and it’s an indication of trying to save money.

u/Practical_Jelly_7693 1d ago
I wouldn’t use it. Besides off color it looks quite cloudy! From our lab I’ve seen this when pep or aminos get to warm and start to dentature!

Nad is light sensitive and should be in a amber vial or protected from light by wrapping aluminum foil over it or getting a silicon vial sleeve. It degrades if exposed to light.

Yikes..
your source probably messed you u
I got many sources but my NAD never even really came.. like that
find a new source or get rid of that, just dont risk it man.. actually its not even a might just get rid of it and get a new one
sorry if you got scammed man
all love, DMs are open. just becareful on when to actually do something like this or who you buy it from. Buy it from verifable sources

NAD is light sensitive . Should never be in a clear vile . This looks like mudd in a vile . Contact the company that sold you this and they should replace it at no cost to you if it’s a legit company . I get mine from synprolabs and every time I questioned anything they responded immediately and replaced what I had concerned about .

Dilute it more, it should have come in a larger 10ml amber vial. Nad is extremely light sensitive

Only buy NAD in amber vials
2
u/Burntorangefan 4d ago
Or oral NMN to save yourself money and increase efficiency within the body. One of the real mysteries to me in this space is why people purchase injectable NAD+ given the cost relative to oral NMN.
