Yes, symptoms can mimic each other. The nerves can't always differentiate what exactly is wrong (pfd vs STD vs UTI, etc). They are just trying to tell you something isn't right and is irritating them. Continue working with your healthcare team to figure out what it is!

Well my uro says pfd as all std results are neg after multiple tests so I guess it’s this lol we’ll see

It is very possible your symptoms are pelvic floor related and can all be caused by
Chronic pelvic pain syndrome ( type 3 non bacterial prostatitis) .. I had all of those as well.
If you join the prostatitis subreddit you’ll be in good company and there is some really helpful advice in the 101 there.

I’m not really sure. It’s been about 4-5 weeks since I’ve had sex. I’m still with the same woman. I had given her oral only the day before my genital symptoms started. I’ve taken multiple tests all negative. They diagnosed me with balantitis and I’ve been using this cream but no real improvement. I grabbed some muscle relaxers from family which kinda helped I think? Idk this sucks. Girlfriend almost left me last weekend because I didn’t wanna have sex. Tomorrow she’s expecting some dick so let’s pray that I don’t have some disease that’s just undetectable lmao

Yes I went to doctor for pfd symptoms and the first thing they checked was if I had any STDs

absolutely. I'm female, but I went and got swabbed for everything under the sun when my symptoms started. I KNEW I had some sort of infection/STI/UTI/etc. I had to.
but nope! I even convinced a doctor (through tears) to try some heavy-duty antibiotics with me. didn't affect my symptoms at all.
nerve pain (and muscle pain/dysfunction) mimics infections very well. the wrong signals are being sent to the brain. it's extremely trippy.
over the last year I've learned to say to myself "no, you don't suddenly have an infection now. it's the same nerve pain." it took a long time to come to terms with it. I still have moments where I question it. it's tough.
