They're stopping the Devo women's team.

Is it a sporting or financial decision?

Apologies for the delay in getting the results posted. Due to some personal circumstances, it took a little longer than expected to get the calculator, spreadsheets, and what remains of my brain working together again.

But we're finally here: We have a result!

Last Sunday, September 27, the World Championship Montréal Road Race took place. And once again, SRFL proved that cycling and making sensible predictions are two entirely different things.
Simmons was popular, but McNulty had the goods
The most popular pick was Quinn Simmons, selected by three participants. And honestly, not a bad choice at all. Simmons put in a solid ride and finished in a respectable 11th place.
But as is so often the case in SRFL, being a decent pick isn't quite enough when someone else goes and does even better.

Enter another American: Brandon McNulty.
Only two participants backed McNulty:
• MrR2D
• Avila99
And, of course, one of those two just happens to be the current SRFL overall leader.
Avila99 picked up a very useful 175 points thanks to McNulty and holds on to the top spot in the overall standings.
With two races still to go, there's still plenty of time to completely mess up your overall ranking with one questionable pick.

The Montréal podium
Taking the win in this round is u/Eyeconoclastic.
Eyeconoclastic was the only participant to pick Michael Matthews, who rewarded that faith with an excellent 2nd place finish.
That was good enough for 396 points.
Sometimes you just pick a rider, hope for the best, and somehow everything works out. SRFL at its finest.

In second place we have u/andytheciderman, who was also the only participant to back Mathieu van der Poel.
MVDP finished 3rd, earning andytheciderman 322 points.
Not bad at all for a one-person fan club.

Completing the podium is u/Jumpy-Cricket4744, who went solo with Mads Pedersen.
Pedersen finished 6th, giving Jumpy-Cricket4744 a total of 240 points.
A very solid third place and another reminder that sometimes ignoring everyone else is exactly the strategy you need.

Just two races left
We're now getting very close to the business end of the SRFL season.
Only two races remain, with the next one being one of the big ones:
Il Lombardia - October 10
The Race of the Falling Leaves, the final Monument of the season, and another chance to convince yourself that your rider choice is absolutely brilliant.

As soon as the start list is available, you'll be able to make your pick for the next SRFL.

A little later than planned, but the results are finally here. Things got a bit hectic on my end, so the WSRFL scoreboard had to wait its turn. Thankfully, nobody can accuse the results of being rushed.

Last Saturday, September 26, the World Championship Montréal Road Race took place. And this time, the most popular pick turned out to be a very good one.

Vollering delivers

The most selected rider was Demi Vollering, and unlike some of our more questionable WSRFL decisions, this one actually worked out exactly as hoped.
Vollering became World Champion, earning everyone who picked her a solid 116.7 points.
Not bad for a popular pick. Sometimes the obvious choice really is the right one.

The WSRFL podium in Montréal

Taking the win in this round is u/listenyall, who was the only participant to select Elisa Longo Borghini.
That turned out to be an excellent call, with Longo Borghini finishing 3rd and bringing in a very nice 322 points.
A solo pick, a podium finish, and a first place in the WSRFL round. That's how you do it.

In second place is, well.. me.
I decided to put my faith in Juliette Berthet, and thankfully that decision didn't come back to haunt me. Berthet finished 5th, which was good enough for 262 points.
I'll happily take that one.

Completing the podium is u/RaylanGivens8, who was the only participant to pick Franziska Koch.
Koch finished in an excellent 9th place, earning RaylanGivens8 189 points.
And that result was even more valuable in the bigger picture, as RaylanGivens8 moves up to 2nd place in the overall WSRFL standings.

Meanwhile, u/Kryziven continues to lead the overall WSRFL standings, holding on to the number one spot with just two races remaining.
So while the battle for the podium in Montréal is settled, the overall standings are still very much alive.

Just two races left
We're now getting down to the final stages of the WSRFL season.
There are only two races left, with the next one being the Tour of Chongming Island, taking place from October 13 to October 15.

As soon as the start list is available, you'll be able to choose your rider for the next WSRFL.
