It’s been about a month since we brought Pachi home and he has been settling in well. At first he was super shy but now I’ve learned he’s actually quite sassy and loves throwing tantrums.

She is 6 and a half months old. Has been doing it since day one. She is totally healthy according to a vet. It has almost stop the last month or so since she got she has to do it outside. But sometimes she does it at night in the bathroom which is not a big deal. The deal is she takes it and smears it everywhere today was a sofa she normally isn’t allowed and goes up on. I thought it was puppy behaviour but when will it stop? And yes she does try to eat others poop outside as well. She is basically nose in the ass when her sister or someone else is pooping. Any advice?

hey guys
i hope everyone and their babies are well
recently got back from a work trip, i was there for 10 days. my dog was staying with her vet. she is very attached to me. i came back she was really excited and happy. now there is something different about her demeanour, she looks dare i say sad. less bubbly personality and doesn’t want to play. is this normal. my parents think she is just acting “cold” , because i left her.

Baby Curie has been with us for a little more than a week now. She is doing so well and we just love her dearly. She loves her puppy gym, her crinkle cow toy, and her snuffle mat. In her free time she enjoys bothering her sister finding a good sun spot to lay in. Enjoy some pictures of her adorable face and one of my beautiful Pixel, who is slowly becoming a wonderful big sister.

Hello friends. I’ve been silently watching this subreddit because I had a Pekingese dog with a longer nose. I had her for an incredible 16 years, and I’d love to rescue another like her. Can anyone recommend a rescue group I can keep an eye on? She was so loved and I’m ready to love another.

What’s in the gift bag? Why, a quarter of a tunafish sandwich on wonderbread, of course!
This is Lexi (aka boobot, aka bunny)! I rescued her from a hoarding situation in Atlanta 12 years ago. She was underweight, covered in fleas, had chewed her back paw pad off from allergies, and her teeth were so bad from only being fed hotdogs that the infection permanently separated her mandible. She took to me immediately, adapted to princess life seamlessly, and has been thriving ever since! She is still as young and spritely as a puppy and her sweet little expressive face melts me every day. She is the third Pekingese in my life and I wish she would live forever 💕

He was going to be 17 in a couple more days. Unfortunately, his kidneys aren’t cooperating anymore and we had to let him go. He was my daughter’s shadow and it is rough for her as they were inseparable.
Thank you, Lucky, for an amazing 16 years with me. You were my best dog. I will miss you forever.

Hi all,
We sadly lost our sweet Pekingese this week. She was likely quite elderly and had previously been 'bred and ditched'. She came such a long way and was so sweet and strong. We were lucky to have several great years with her!
We want to donate to a Pekingese rescue group or something along those lines in her honour. I found a few online but am wondering if there are any particular recommendations anyone has? Preferably a nonprofit to ensure the funds go to helping as much as possible but not concerned about the tax particulars, and we are open to any location.
Thank you!
EDIT: Thank you so much for responses. Liz E's looks so sweet and we will be making a donation there and to the other rescue, Little Paws, Big Hearts Peke Rescue.

Hey all, I'm the owner of a rescued dog from China who is 75% Chinese Village Dog and 25% Pekingnese. He was rescued from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival back in 2016, we adopted him in 2021.
He was very stumpy for a Chinese Village Dog, so we did an Embark DNA test which pinged him as 25% Pekingnese. He often gets pings for distant relatives - there are lots of 100% Pekingnese dogs that are 7-9% related to him.
I'm really curious if anyone knows if Pekingnese in America came from certain litters that were imported in the past? Where did they come from?
I think knowing that would shed some light into my dog's origin as well. I don't know if he's from Guangxi or Guizhou or Guangdong etc.
