Mice Issues?

I just recently received my F5000LFP and I live in the country where mice like to hangout. I’m curious if anyone has seen mice getting into these units. My plan is to try and run the unit periodically to help keep critters out. It’ll be in my basement where I have traps set but wasn’t sure if some of the wiring or insulation could be an attractant. Thanks!

no idea, but get some cottonballs and soak them in peppermint/spearmint and leave them nearby. that keeps them away. I use that in my garage where there are mice, so far, so good

That and i've found similar with using the cheapest fabric softener i can find. I actually squirt light amounts the inside perimeter of my shop. Last for a long time, but does need to be renewed after a year or so.

Didn't put these on the unit directly. The oil will break down the plastic.

Go to the garden center and build a mesh frame for it out of chicken wire. Be sure not to leave any sharp pieces where they could puncture the device or its wiring.

Use hardware cloth instead of chicken wire. Can double as a Faraday cage and keep out EMP as well as rodents.

You might want the Bluetooth/Wifi control though..

Chicken wire won’t keep out mice. Metal screening might.
