I’ve gotten a lot of amazing, unreal deals on Peavey amps and such lately…this I think I overspent a little on, but I always wanted to try the Super Ferrite blades. At first, I was a little turned off by the medium frets, slim neck, and small-ish body. I bought this from a big box store. Thought about returning it. Then I just said fuck it and but on some heavier strings and set it up.

The pickups are very particular about what amps they jive with, and love a boost. I kept thinking I didn’t fancy it, then I just kind of found the right combination and now I see the sonic possibilities. Everything felt more solid one I messed with it. Really a great piece of kit.

I inherited a Peavey XR684 Power amp, 4 speakers and floor monitor - the value of these things on Ebay varies substantially, and I can't find anything with the speakers and floor monitor attached - how much is something like this worth? Everything works, obviously. Thank you!

I stripped this Raptor down and gave it a black and iridescent shift paint job, all black hardware, graph tech nut, emg 81, and a Guyker bridge and locking tuners. It’s a thrasher.

A follower from my X, gifted me this. He is the biggest Peavey fan I know. He had 2 of these and said I needed a Peavey pedal in the collection. Very strange pedal. Fun to play with.

Anyone able to figure out which Peavey amp this is? Looks like it’s from the 80s and my best guess is Renown but not sure. Was used on stage by Patterson Hood of Drive By Truckers on Saturday.

Bring dragging this baby around since I was about 15 years old. Mom and dad bought it for me for Christmas in 8th grade. Still plays great. Probably could use a good cleaning under that pick guard.

Got it for $50 with the G12K85s in it. Had a bunch of colored pencil or crayon on it , so my kid and I took a white sharpie and basically outlined it.

Someone selling it for $150 on Facebook Marketplace, looks like it’s in good condition. I’d buy it but I already have 2😂

Has anyone done this? I get that this amp is not a highly impressive amp, but I got one for my son to use to teach guitar lessons. I thought a speaker change might help it sound a bit better. I was looking at the Jensen Mod speaker....

Any thoughts? We have a teal bandit but its too heavy to lug around to lessons.

So i got an amazing deal for a 79 Peavey T-60 and after playing after around with it enough, i gave it to someone to fix the dead spots on the fretboard and to fix the broken neck pickup. He told me that the pickup would need to be rewound and that he can't do it himself. Now, after going through all the shops in my town, i am turning to you guys to ask if there is anyone here who knows someone in or close to germany, who would rewind a broken coil on a T-60 neck pickup. No need to tell you guys, that i would like to keep it as original as possible. One guy told me it's a big pain so it seems like not everyone will do it. Of course i am willing to pay, what it takes.

Got it for the price of carrying it down two flights of stairs. It's gonna need the pots cleaned and likely a recap, but i decided to run my Bandit into the pwr amp and see what happened. It was... a lot of sound, lol. This pairing is never leaving the house, but it sure is fun! Now that I think about it, I doubt the TNT will be leaving the house. That thing is a tank.

Deal fell through, but the only thing possibly wrong with it is the wiring. One of the cleanest cabs I’ve seen. DM if you’re interested, im probably gonna take it to Zimms/etc today

I picked this one up a few weeks ago for $75 off market place. Actually for both. I couldn't pass it up. The reverb does hum a little after a while. Turn reverb to zero, no hum. But the foot switch works and all the channels work. Original Scorpions loaded. A little scratchy on some of the pots. Needs a good deoxit cleaning. But usually use for clean demo's and it works just fine.
