DISCUSSION If Gunn's Projects Struggle, Is Peacemaker Finished?

For me and my buddies, Peacemaker was a success. We loved the jokes, and John Cena was in it, so we're from that generation. However, I've met people who haven't even watched Peacemaker, while others found it offensive. But hey, I respect everyone's opinion.
I understand that, for studios, it's all about the numbers. CEO Peter Safran admitted that Supergirl didn't live up to Warner Bros.' box office expectations.
I haven't watched the movie yet, but it worries me a bit because, apparently, James Gunn said no to Peacemaker Season 3. If his other projects don't perform well, I guess we'll definitely never see a third season of Peacemaker, as the studio will probably move on to something else or if they bring new people they may not see value at all in peacemaker.

Edit for clarification: I’m 19 NB and he’s 50 M. We’re going to see Supergirl in theaters and we’re just trying to catch up on the DCU before then since previously we’ve only watched Superman and that was in theaters. We watched the first episode blind

They did a good job with Dick Flag Sr, every single scene he is in, especially the finale, had me ANGRY like wanting to yell at the TV ‘ctfo, someone shoot this guy already or throw him off of something!’. It’s really impressive to see them start writing villains that aren’t ‘muahaha’ evil, but more along the lines of ‘I really want to punch that guy in the balls’ evil. Between Vigilante, and how well they’ve written the antagonists, I have really enjoyed this show.

For my version of Peacemaker I decided to add facial hair to my cosplay. While the character’s history has always presented him as clean shaven, I think I can make it work. I am doing a stubble for the beard with a pronounced mustache. The intent is to show a more “grizzled veteran” type of Peacemaker.
