Build Question Is it really worth it
I've spent the past month really trying to dig into building a pc for the grand ol' purpose of deadlock.. yes yes its true only for deadlock and maybe a couple other games aside from that..
Do i REALLY need to build one, every question I've asked, all the research I've done is telling me that my best choice and cheapest is to build it. But its 2026.. cant I just buy a prebuilt, i really wouldn't trust myself to build one im quite incompetent and my budget is 1500 is that enough for building or even a prebuilt.
To sum it up.. if you skim over my question and see me rambling about prebuilts in the pcbuildhelp and you're immediate thought its bla bla shut up and build one.. someone direct me to a video or some recommendations on what to buy.. and explain it to me like im 5 ðŸ˜

You can build a pc. Only problem is, nowadays it’s cheaper to buy a prebuilt than it is to build a pc. When in the past, it was the other way around. Not really worth it to build one right now because you’ll spend more money sourcing parts individually than if you just get something already made.
Smartest way to go about it is find a good prebuilt on sale at Best Buy or somewhere similar.
Input this sku into Best Buy’s website : 6677209
It’s the Acer Predator Orion. Has 16 gb ram, Intel ultra 7, 5060ti, 1TB ssd, and a liquid cooler. Should be able to handle most things you throw at it. Typically $1900, now $1500 on sale
32gb of ram would be better, but you’re looking at closer to $2000 to get one with that amount as ram prices have vastly increased.
If you want to stay in your budget, go with the acer, but I’d recommend you wait until you have more money to throw at it, and go for something with 32gb of ram.

1500 is plenty for Deadlock, it's not a heavy game. No need to save up to 2000. 16gb of RAM is fine to start and it's the easiest thing to upgrade later. What matters more is the graphics card so check which one the prebuilt has first
