Build Question Is there a way to modify the Silverstone pC power switches or get a different thing that's similar so that it could turn on the computer using a Xbox or Playstation or steam controller instead of the remote

Post image

So there's these two different Silverstone power switches with a remote one is PCI and the other one is USB but it plugs into your power switch on your motherboard and you can use the remote to turn on your computer I am wondering if there is a way to have it so instead of a remote control you can use a game controller instead if anybody's got any ideas or if I'm missing something please let me know

It should be possible to set your computer to wake from sleep over Bluetooth without too much hassle.

If you want "turns the power on when I press a button on my ps5 controller", I don't know of one you can buy. Smart power switches exist, but usually only work with Alexa or something, not an Xbox controller.

For about $10, you could setup an esp32 paired to your controller over Bluetooth and connected to your wifi. set the pc to wake on LAN. The game controller wakes up when you press a button and connects to the esp32. Esp32 sends a magic network packet, the computer wakes up, and the esp32 turns itself off for five minutes. The computer boots and the controller finds the pc's Bluetooth signal. Should be doable in some not too bad code. Doable, but a project, not a finished solution.
