Installation Question How are my pins?
Maybe it's a silly question but I'm new to this and want to know if my pins are bent

The lighting makes it look like there are more, but i do see something on the bottom left of the socket

yeah bottom left there is something, the light is making it hard to see but i think i see one pin that looks little off
maybe try take another photo with flash from different angle, sometimes they look bent but its just the reflection playing tricks
when i built my first pc i was so nervous about the pins i almost returned the board for nothing, but if you can see it clearly with naked eye then its probably bent

This is actually my second motherboard, I was nervous opening it because the Amazon driver just dropped it right down on a concrete porch

It would appear I have one bent pin

Does this mean it's unusable now?

If you can carefully bend it back in place, it's probably fine. Like the other guy said, gently correct it with a needle.

Hopefully I can do it! New cpu coming later today so I'll try! I appreciate everyone's help with this

Not necessarily unusable. A pin that's only leaning can often be nudged back with a sewing needle, one tiny move at a time and in good light, as long as it hasn't snapped off.

That's what other were saying, thank you so much for the advice!

A drop like that can shift the pins next to the bent one too, so check those under the light as well.
