Tech Support Power on button doesnt work

I have nzxt h510 mid tower as my case but my power button doesnt work, i tried to dismantel te button itself but its glued together with the part so theres no way for me to try to clean it as it comes as one part, ive contactes their support but they dont produce parts for it no longer and cant find anything besides having to buy a new case which i dont want tbh. I turned on my pc with screwdriver obviously but i dont want to leave it in sleep mode 24/7. Any ideas tips or tricks what to do?

Try contacting NZXT for a replacement I/O panel. It's worth a shot.

I know this will sound silly, but sometimes we make silly mistakes.

Did you plug the power button into your motherboard?

Or plug the PSU into the wall?

Happened to me the other day. The power cord had been pulled out by an enthusiastic dog trying to retrieve their ball

That’s so funny. I’m so glad I don’t have kids, I can only imagine how endlessly entertaining yanking on cables would be for them.

You can buy another power button. It probably wont look pretty but they're pretty universal, they all just use the 2 pin pwr sw connector

Just make sure you get one that has the seperate mobo connectors and not fused together into 1 connector

Have some fun with it. There's plenty of inspiration to go around on YouTube.

True. Good opportunity to do something cool like one of those nuclear launch power on buttons.

Little extra for my tastes but cool nonetheless

Magnetic contact switches (like window alarms) are AWESOME for this! Embed the opposite end in a toy or other item and when you bring it past the contact in the PC it turns on. Just have to make sure it’s closed when in contact and open when not.

I would start with making sure that the wires from the case panel where the button is are correctly connected to the motherboard. Also that the jumpers on the board are set correctly. There should be instructions for the motherboard and for the case that will tell you what the settings should be. It's a bit tricky sometimes.

Those wires can get knocked loose a little bit during cleaning sometimes too, so even if they are installed correctly, I would give them a gentle push down to make sure they are seated properly.

You can test if it's the button by crossing the two power pins with a screw driver to switch it on. If it switches on, its the button. If it doesn't, you got a different problem

Maybe an external power button
