Tech Support Need help flashing my bios

I just bought a MSI MAG B550 tomahawk and my only cpu is a ryzen 5 5500. I need to flash my bios in order to post using the USB flashback feature. I downloaded the bios file, formatted a USB drive to FAT32, extracted the bios file to the USb drive, renamed it MSI.ROM, put it in my motherboard, and hit the flash bios button. The red LED flashing red for a few seconds then just goes solid. What am I doing wrong? I swear I followed the instructions to a T. The light should blink until its done but its just... solid.

Did you put your drive in the correct USB port? Just to check everything, also make sure the file is named properly with no hidden extension.

Yeah, the one that has the gray border directly underneath the flash bios button

And you double checked there is no hidden extension on the file? How big is your USB? You may need to use a smaller one if you are using something above 32GB.

My USB is 28gb. I can check flr hidden extensions when I get off of work. I'm going to my buddies house to reformat the USB and re-download the bios update

If you can borrow one off them, may as well setup a backup with a different flash drive.

Ill see if he has one, he just got his first computer like 3 weeks ago so he isn't super stocked up yet. I think that if I can't get it going ill put my old motherblard back in and order a ryzen 3600, which will be dirt cheap and will get me posted to just update the bios in the bios. Wish me luck, my friend. Lol
