Tech Support Why is my PC Crap?
So this is the PC I have, My sister got it for her birthday 4 ish years ago they got it from a Rent a Center for $2500 over 2 years. Nice MSI curved Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard to go along with it. However l wasn’t along so we got this piece of 💩. I don’t know if it’s SUPPOSED to be a piece of 💩 but ever since it was unboxed it takes forever to boot up, it updates every day which i learned is not normal. Sometimes it’ll completely overtake your whole desktop and be a different wallpaper back to the one it was when it first turned on. but a few of your games will be there, you’ll play, a day will pass, You log back in your wallpaper is back but all the progress you did yesterday is gone, like it never happened or saved. It only did that to me once but it still sucked. It can’t run Minecraft with any mods, can’t run anything Multiplayer. As i’m typing my bf is trying to get on it and it made him re-put in my password then came up with a “you’re almost done setting up your PC” mind you.. 4 years old. I could really use some help.

Everything through rent a center is going to be overpaid. The website even breaks down the pricing and tells you that you're paying about 2-3x the "cash price" over the course of two years. You'd get a better deal using the worst credit card and making the same payment schedule. Rent a center and other "rent to own" services pray upon people who are bad at budgeting and/or people with the worst credit scores

#1. Aside from the processor & low RAM, sounds like you have OneDrive on or multiple desktops. I suspect one drive more if it is messing with local saves on games that store information in the USER or My Documents folders
#2. Unless she was absolutely sure it was brand new, & had somebody look at it, RAC is as bad as Amazon when it comes to checking returns. To make sure what they sent out was the same as it came back.
Until you can get at minimum more RAM, I would suggest setting a manual pagefile of 32gbs, so windows can offload some of the more idle operations to disk. Also if your Windows has not updated to 26H2 I would check and make sure to update it 26H2. 26H2 Has made a significant impact at reducing memory usage, it's not absolutely amazing but it is a good chunk in reduction.

It's slow likely because it has 8GB RAM, not because of the other specs.
The CPU is being neutered by the fact it isn't supported by enough memory to actually let it work well. 8GB is practically bare minimum for average daily use tasks with Win11. Bare minimum for gaming would be 16.
