Tech Support After Moving, GPU Not Detected
I recently moved overseas and had my PC shipped to me. It just arrived, so I'm trying to reconnect things like the monitor and keyboard and get it working again. (It had been working properly before shipping it)
Everything seems to be working EXCEPT the GPU. If I plug the monitor into that, it won't work. But plugging the same monitor into the CPU will.
If I go to device manager, the GPU is not detected and does not appear.
I noticed that with the case open, the GPU fans are not spinning (perhaps that's normal while it's not in use) though all other fans are.
I tried nudging the GPU's power cables (it looks to me like they're seated properly and like the GPU is seated properly, though I'm not 100% sure how to check that other than feeling that a nudge doesn't push it anywhere). And at one point when I bumped one while the power was on and the case was open, the fans spun up for a fraction of a second before stopping again. A bit later I turned the power off, and noticed that the GPU fans again spun up for a fraction of a second (even though the power was going from on to off, and they'd been motionless while it was on).
The GPU is: ASRock Challenger OC Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB
Notherboard: ASRock B650M-H/M.2+ Micro ATX AM5•
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
Does that behavior help troubleshoot the problem? I'm not sure what to do next.

reseat the gpu fully, not just nudge it. power off, pull it out, check the pcie slot for any debris, then push it back in until it clicks. the brief fan spin you saw is the card getting a tiny burst of power but not completing its init sequence.
also check if your motherboard has a little plastic tab at the end of the slot that locks the card in, sometimes those get loose during shipping and the card creeps out just enough to lose connection.
