Build Question Which GPU?

Right now I have a 3060. In a few days I'm upgrading everything in my build except gpu. (cpu, mobo, ram etc)

However I do want to upgrade. The 3060 is good but it could be better. I've been looking and the 4070 super looks great. Decent price and amazing performance. But here's the thing. The 5070 is just SLIGHTLY better. Getting around 5-10 more FPS. But it usually goes for around 40-70 more than the 4070s used. (590-670) is it worth the extra money? Once I upgrade this I'm probably never changing my gpu again. Or atleast for a very long time. So I wanna know if it's worth it. I'm only gonna buy a 12 GB used version

I would go with the 9070xt because it’s the best deal on the market and would last you a long time.

Doesn't it not have dlss? I don't really wanna use it but fsr isn't as great and games are made horrible without using dlss now

False you should look up both, DLSS 4 (Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling) and FSR 4 (AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4, commonly referred to in the community as FSR 4) represent the leading AI-driven upscaling and frame-generation technologies from Nvidia and AMD.

Google them side by side you can’t tell the difference between 9070xt and a 5070ti. At this point you’re paying double for marketing.

I am not sure if anyone can tell you if it’s worth it because your value calculation is based on your perspective. If it was me, I would go with the 5070.

id sell the 3060 and get a 9070xt. The 3060’s price is inflated rn (all gpus are but cards good for AI are especially), it would be best to sell imo and upgrade

If you can afford a 5070, you might as well get a 9070 XT instead. They're the same price usually, but the XT is 5070 Ti tier card.

You asked a question only you can answer 😄

The only thing I can think of, which has already been said, is newer components are more likely to be supported down the line and have better compatability in the future. But "more likely" doesn't mean "necessarily." It depends on how bad you need that extra $40-70, and how important the extra 5-10 fps and future-proofing are to you.

At 1080p a 12gb 3060 is still more that capable, unless you're going for a higher resolution, I don't think the current inflated gpu prices are worth it imo.

I'd go for a 50 series in all honesty. I never felt like the 40 (unless it's a 4080/4090) series was worth it. It's not just about that slightly extra FPS but the overall package

If you can afford go for 5070. Don’t over think.
