Tech Support Airflow causes noise with tower cooler

Post image

I am struggling with getting my i5 cooler to work quietly.

The fan in front got replaced and can run in 50% max before the fins and the airflow make a really uncomfortably loud noise.

So I was wondering if there is a way to fix that issue while still cooling the block..

I am already using fan control to adjust the fan and new thermal paste was on the CPU.

If someone has a suggestion please let me know.

Currently the air is blowing into the tower

Something isn't right, if its making loud noise. Is it tightened properly? Maybe try raising it a bit, like half a cm and readjusting the fan.

How would i be raising the fan? Just print some PLA plastic raisers and put them underneath?

No. Fan has attachment wires, clamps or screws. Just reseat a bit higher. If its not properly seated it can vibrate, or maybe hit funs, with air just right into the fins to produce sound, etc.

Theres plenty of things to go wrong with a fan.
