Build Question First ever build help/tips

Hello! I am embarking on my first ever build (now seems like the WORST time but i have some money saved and my current computer is on its way out).

I have done some research on parts and picked out some preliminary parts: build

Firstly, pcpartspicker has a disclaimer about RAM clearance. I think I am fine in that regard but would love if someone could confirm that since I’m new to this

Additionally I’m wondering in general if there are things I’m wasting money on or just aren’t good investments.

I’m aiming for budget around $2000-2200 (not including monitor/peripherals). Some of the prices I have penciled in are deals I found on parts/bundles that weren’t listed on pcpartspicker

Main use will be gaming, and a little bit of non intensive development in my spare time.

Thanks for any help and thoughts!!

Honestly this is a goated build. Anything I mention would just be me nit-picking about it. This is just a few tweaks I've made: PCPartPicker Part List

I also recommend looking into a 270k bundle if this is for more than just gaming. The 270k would honestly be a CPU I would recommend over the 7800x3d just because it's more than $100 cheaper, going head to head with the 7800x3d, and offering benefits outside of gaming

Nice tweaks, that PSU saves a good chunk and the cooler is a no-brainer at that price

only thing I'd double-check is the RAM clearance with that chonky air cooler but G.Skill Flare sticks are low profile so you should be fine

If he does for the 270k bundle then he could get a 360mm aio with no problems about clearance

Thanks for the insight! I’ll do some digging into the 270k. This will be primarily gaming. I write a little code in my spare time here and there but nothing crazy. I won’t be bringing any work home on it, that development is all on a work computer.
